I am DarkLight1984. I have many nick names, but we'll stick with that one for now. Get to know me and you may get to know my many others or come up with one of your own.
I am 25 years old.
Blondish hair with a natural hint of red (although as you can tell by my pic, there isn't much of it), blue eyes, 5'6", and very fair skin.

Relationship: Divorced but in a serious relationship now with a wonderful woman, velvet101 here.

Kids: 1 son of 3 years and hoping to have more

Favorite Music: ROCK!! Everything from classic, to alternative, to gothic, to heavy metal, to death metal. My library is too long to list. I don't care for hip hop, rap, or pop. I do listen to anything you can dance to in a club from time to time.

Favorite Movies: Boondock Saints, 300, Sin City, The Spirit, Pineapple Express, the Highlander movies, the Underworld movies, Interview With a Vampire, Queen of the Damned, and I'll stop there before this gets too long.(chuckles softly)

Favorite T.V. Shows: South Park, Ghost Hunters, Cops, Familly Guy, The Simpsons, Survivor, and The Incredible Race.

Ok, now for a little about my personality. I'm a fun loving guy, out going, and energetic. I can be laid back and easy going, crazy and clownish, serious and down to business, really it just depends on the situation and my mood. I'm easy to get along with as long as you're a decent person. By that I simply mean that you don't abuse or mistreat the innocent.
I have little tollerance for injustice. I especially can not stand child abuse, animal abuse, or sexual assault. I detest these things and consider any and all offenders of these crimes to be scum deserving to be stripped of all honor. I also do not find these subjects to be amusing in the least bit and I'm not even close to joking. If you have jokes on these subjects please do not share them with me. I will block you.
I am a familly man and love and fiercely protect what's left of mine. I do consider myself to be a great father to my son. I cannot wait to get back home and spend time with him. My son is the greatest gift in my life and my greatest accomplishment. I take great pride in being a father, even more so than being in the military. You never truly know what love and fear are untill you become a parent. As challenging as it is it is so rewarding.
I am not an argumentative person and do not force my opinions or feelings onto others. I do enjoy a good debate from time to time though. I love intillectual conversations, but also enjoy joking around and playful banter. Another quote I like to say and a piece of advise I offer is this: you learn from your past, look ahead to your future, but must only live in the present.

I think a few people here are getting a bit confused about who I am exactly. As I have said, I detest injustice. Most especially in the forms I mentioned above. I am a warrior. Just take a look at "The Soldier's Creed" sometime, that is how I choose to live my life. I have a lot of warrior pride. I am a very kind person and can be very gentile, but do not be fooled by that. I am a fighter. For those who wish to harm others I am harsh, fierce, and combative. I can deffinately be a lover. Just ask velvet101, she'll tell you it's true. But she'll also tell you that if you harm anyone for fun, greed, or power that I will harm you. I will treat everyone I meet with the ammount of respect due to a living being. If you earn more, I will give you more. My friends get more respect from me than people I simply meet. Those I consider familly, not just by blood, get more than all others. But if you choose to do wrongful things to others you will not get any respect at all. If this bothers you than feel free to pretend I don't exist, I will not be offended. I am who I am and will not change ever. I am proud of who I am. If you have negative things to say about this you're waisting your breath. I'll only laugh at you. If you don't mind this aspect of me or agree with it, please continue reading. Not that there is much left to actually read.....*chuckles softly and sighs

Also, feel free to read my journals and leave comments if you wish. I will add to them from time to time. I know I'm not a great poet, but I enjoy writing anyway. The words in them are self expressions. So there's another way to get to know me better. I'm not a complicated person, but you'll discover that there are parts to me that I don't come right out with. Not that I'm hiding anything, I just don't give all of myself away for free. If you truly want to know me you'll have to put some effort into it. Also I reveal more as more trust is earned. And yes, I specifically used the word "earned" instead of gained or given. My trust must be earned. Trust me when I tell you that it's worth it though. Have fun figuring me out as I'm a very fun person.
