Well behaved women rarely make history.
Never poke the Badger
She will poke you back twice as hard,
then she'll rip your throat out.
Ok, so you want to know about me.. First I should probably say I'm a pretty sarcastic and cynical person. I tend to mock most things, generally because most things deserve to be mocked. People take themselves entirely too seriously these days. I do have a few pet peeves, the first is, of course, stupidity. There's nothing I hate more than a stupid person. If you think you may be one of these stupid people do us both a favor and stop where you are - now very slowly back away before I notice you. My second is liars. I can't stand a fucking liar, especially people who just vomit up pointless lies with absolutely no truth to them whatsoever. Next would be people who wallow in their victimhood. Quit it. It's not productive, no one likes it and you make people want to revictimize you. This is a no angst zone. Deal with it. Finally, it would have to be followers. Some would say this falls in with stupidity, and really, it does - but I'm giving it a special mention. People who follow and trust blindly, they irritate me. Mostly when they decide to shove their big noses in my business. If I want your opinion I'll tell you, untli then keep your biased opinions to your ignorant, naive little selves Ok, so now that's out of the way, what do I like? I like a good sense of humor, the ability to laugh at one's self, individuality, skipping MicroEconomics, sunflowers, thunder storms, figuring out what makes people tick, bluntness, honesty and loyalty. Silence, corny jokes, the ocean, quiet nights at home, most types of music, independence, a good book, Starbucks, roadtrips, photography, chocolate, watching movies in bed, and of course, alone time with my daughter. I'm not one that's big on playing games, but if you really want to play I have one or two in my bag..
I am 30 years old, a single mom to a brilliant and creative 7 year old girl, and a fulltime student at the local University. My major is Psychology with a minor in Political Science. My intention is to finish Grad School and be a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have every intention on remaining in school for a very long time, simply because I love to learn.
My main areas of interest are Cognitive and Behavioral Psychology and my emphasis is in the psychology of both Women and Adolescents. I'm fascinated with abnormal psychology, but any career in that area requires more years of education than I'm willing to wait for.
I have a fairly dry sense of humor that not everyone can appreciate - or even understand, but that just adds to my entertainment.
I'm not a big people person and I'm very picky about who I call friend. I prefer intelligent, witty people and have absolutely no tolerance for liars, stupidity, followers or drama queens. My blunt honesty has managed to gain me quite the reputation, but it does tend to weed out a lot of people, which saves me lots of time.
If you would like to know more, you can check out all my journal or just ask me, I'm pretty open about most things.
Every now and then I get irritated by something - a comment, a little action, something I’ve seen or read, and I just have to complain about it. This time it’s about women’s body image. This is a huge hot button issue for me, and now and then I can’t help but type up another rant on it.
Every day women are bombarded with images of what they *should* look like. Everywhere you look there’s some perky blonde in her size 2’s trying to sell you make up, or Gap jeans, or car insurance. Women, and men, actually start to believe that this is what every woman should look like and reject or look down on those who don’t – even if it’s their own body.
We’ve got 12 year olds with eating disorders, 16 year olds with breast implants and an entire generation of 30 and 40-something’s being injected with botox and killing themselves in the gym trying to keep up with the latest bimbo in pop culture (who, I might add, has an eating disorder and implants). And for what? So some shallow guy will find them attractive? Because a size 9 is too fat? Give me a break.
All you women out there killing yourself so others find you attractive need to wake up, you’re perpetuating the problem. Of course you should be healthy, but you can be healthy at size 12. All the guys out there looking for perfection, fuck you – I have yet to find perfection in any man.
