“Nothing reminds us of an awakening more than rain.” ~Dejan Stojanovic
One of the things I love to do when I am feeling as if it is metaphorically raining nonstop in my life, is to look back on some of the amazing times in my life. As I was reminiscing, I remembered a time in college where it had been raining for two weeks straight. My roommate and I slogged our way to campus and back each day, always getting soaked no matter how hard we tried to stay dry. One afternoon, as we were headed back to our apartment, we stopped on a nearby corner to allow the light to change. As the light changes and we began to cross, a car rounded the corner spraying water and mud all over us. To say our mood was foul would be an understatement. As we arrived on the grounds of the apartment, I began to laugh and lowered my umbrella. Jen, who had already decided I was crazy just looked at me with one eyebrow raised. I ran and jumped in the biggest mud puddle I could find laughing and crying at the same time. Slowly, Jen joined me and we played in the rain and mud for about 30 minutes before going inside, toweling off and making two nice mugs of hot chocolate.
You see this one moment of looking at life from a different perspective changed everything. It was cathartic, invigorating and a much-needed release. I wonder how different our lives would be if we chose joy in everything.
May the sun bring you new energy by day, may the moon softly restore you by night, may the rain wash away your worries, may the breeze blow new strength into your being, may you walk gently through the world and know its beauty all the days of your life.
Welcome to my little corner of VR. I have a few profiles here, but you may know me best as Theodora.
Let's see . . . a little about me. I was a practicing family lawyer with my own law firm for 20 years before my current job which I love. I work in risk management at one of the largest law firms in the U.S. I am not new to VR and have a number of profiles simply because I love to design and be creative in my spare time. Coding profiles is one of my favorite creative outlets.
I tend not to put a great deal of personal information on my profiles, but always invite messages and conversation. Please do not message me and simply say "hi." I generally do not respond to non-substantive messages. I also am not a vampire, so please do not ask me to turn you.
I expect to be treated with respect. If you respect me, I will respect you. If you disrespect me, do not expect respect from me. That being said, I tend to get along very well with most people, even those considered difficult. I despise drama so do not bring your drama to this page. It will not be tolerated.
My rating policy is simple; just about everyone receives a 10, even if you rate me low. Even though your profile may not be my taste, most of you here put a lot of time and effort into coding your profiles and I like to reward that effort.
Please feel free to add me, add my journal and/or stalk me. After all, we all need a little help with bonuses. Just message me so I can make sure to return the kind favor. Thanks for visiting my profile. I hope you enjoyed your stay.
