What is Special K?

Ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic for use in human and veterinary medicine. Pharmacologically, ketamine is classified as an NMDA receptor antagonist and, like other drugs of this class such as tiletamine, and phencyclidine (PCP), induces a state referred to as “dissociative anesthesia". As with other pharmaceuticals of this type, ketamine is used illicitly as a recreational drug, sometimes referred to as Special K.
Ketamine has a wide range of effects in humans, including analgesia, anesthesia, hallucinations, neurotoxicity, arterial hypertension, and bronchodilation.
Ketamine produces effects similar to PCP and DXM. At low doses, hallucinations are only seen when one is in a dark room with one's eyes closed, while at medium to high doses the effects are far more intense and obvious. These effects include changes in the perception of distances, relative scale, color and durations/time, as well as a slowing of the visual system's ability to update what the user is seeing. There are reports of high-dosage users being able to see their surroundings in two sharp images, as if the brain is unable to merge the images each eye is sending. Speech often sounds unintelligible and auditory hallucinations may occur. At high doses sounds can be out of sync with the user's visual field.

Ketamine produces a dissociative state, characterized by a sense of detachment from one's physical body and the external world. At sufficiently high doses users may experience what is coined the “K-hole“. This may include distortions in bodily awareness, such as the feeling that one's body is being tugged, or is gliding on silk, flying, or has grown very large or distended. Users often report feeling more skeletal or becoming more aware of their bones - the shape of their hands is also often of interest. Users may experience worlds or dimensions that are ineffable, all the while being completely unaware of their individual identities or the external world. Users may feel as though their perceptions are located so deep inside the mind that the real world seems distant (hence the use of a "hole" to describe the experience). Some users may not remember this part of the experience after regaining consciousness, in the same way that a person may forget a dream. Owing to the role of the NMDA receptor in long-term potentiation, this may be due to disturbances in memory formation. The "re-integration" process is slow, and the user gradually becomes aware of surroundings. At first, users may not remember their own names, or even know that they are human, or what that means. Movement is extremely difficult, and a user may not be aware that he or she has a body at all.

Who is SpecialK?

Upon talking to me you may notice a few things. I’m locked down, difficult to open, and the treasures inside are even harder to see. I am human of the magickal practitioner variety. I associate well with the occult background and all its relations. I am a writer of sorts, indulging in day to day life and sin. You will more than likely find that my journal will be filled with things for you to learn. I find bondage to be highly rewarding. While submissive in such cases, publicly, you will not find a trace of it. I am relatively calm until the right buttons are pushed and have no fear of speaking my mind under any conditions. (Though I have the common sense to know when it is best to hold my tongue.)

I am not underage. I will not disclose my birthdate here. I am a Cancer. I was born in 1986. I do believe that should narrow it down for those who want to know.

My musical tastes are broad and I have difficulties finding a few songs I do not appreciate from each genre.

My taste in movies is about as broad as my music. Action, adventure, comedy, thriller, romance, etc. I will watch almost anything once. There are some movies that I have seen that I refuse to watch ever again.

I am a bookworm. If I am not online, you will find me curled up with a book. I will expand on my list of authors at a later date.

The all-inclusive SpecialK package would not be complete without the ever-popular "Likes" and "Dislikes". Once again, this will be updated as I see fit.

Reading, listening to music, designing web pages, walking, bike riding, playing pool, swimming, singing, dancing, and among other things the most important, learning.

Dislikes:
Ignorance, bad grammar, teens/young adults who complain about being in school, people who are always wrong and think they are right, people who don't pay attention regardless of the topic, bad drivers.
