I have been fascinated with vampires since I was 4 years old and woke up to some vampire movie that my uncle was watching on tv. To this day I still have no idea what the movie was, but it was the beginning of a long and passionate love affair for me. I have been told by many friends and family that it's morbid, weird, strange and my only answer to them is...you're not one of us.
By day I am 28 years old, mother of 1 beautiful son, inventory control supervisor. I like scary movies, rock 'n roll, and whatever thrills I can find without getting myself into *too* much trouble.
By night I am Trinity, immortal goddess, friend to few and lover to many. I am the whisper in your head and the longing in your loins. I am fierce, I am loyal, and I respect the old ways. If you do not know my name, yet, prepare to.
My thoughts on Covens/Houses...I was Queen of a clan on Vampire:The Masquerade for over a year and know the monumental responsibilities, expectations, and labeling that come along with affiliations. I've had a chance to read Cancer's thoughts on this; something along the lines of "if you do not understand the reasons behind forced inductment, you don't belong on VR in the first place". He's right; a Sire offering the Embrace to a prospective fledgeling instead of just forcing it upon them is the exception, not the rule.
So, all I can say to that, is that too many times in my life other people have put me into situations that I had no control over. It is an awful feeling to have. Virtually every House/Coven page I have been to has talked about "respect", but if you're not extending it until the representation is up and their name is on your roster, how much do you really stand behind that yourself?
Just my opinion...
I am an opinionated woman; one that cannot be intimidated. Trust me, better men than you have tried. My philosophy on life is "live and let live"- I don't care if your thing is Bible study 3 times a week or blood sacrifices in your backyard, so long as you don't try to push your beliefs off on me. I love a good debate and will play Devil's Advocate in almost any situation, but don't think that means I don't know what I stand for. Never mistake an open mind for vacuousness.
I'm jaded and cynical, but deep down I still want to believe the best of everyone until they prove me wrong. I seem to have a talent for sizing people up pretty quickly, though, so if something about you doesn't sit well with me upon first impression, good luck getting me to change my mind. I have learned the hard way to trust my gut.
As I am an Aquarius I am naturally rebellious, and I love to raise people's eyebrows. I find this has mellowed some with age, but I will never be one that will "get along to get along". The more you tell me something is wrong, the more I will show you just how much I enjoy it. What can I say- I don't give a damn about keeping up with the Joneses.
I spend entirely too much time in my own head with thoughts that seem to have a life of their own. A part of me has lived with the darkness for so long that as wearying as it can be, it is also a comfort and I am resistant to giving it up. Maybe that is a weakness on my part, or maybe I am just like everyone else with secrets to hide. A great spiritual woman once told me that you find a thing in its opposite; only in sorrow will you find joy. Perhaps I am just looking for that fountain of joy that someday will surely be mine.
