Hi, my name is Monica.
It's been quite a while since I've joined a site like this, but I'm excited at the prospect of making new friends.
Like everyone else, I have problems/diagnoses and struggle to adapt to life at times. So the big ones, I have anxiety and depression. My emotions don't regulate like they should, and can make going outside and socializing difficult at times. So the internet has been my main source of human interaction. As in I'm one of those whose lifestyle got a little easier after the past couple of years due to the wider range of options available at home. I also struggle with ADHD. Honestly, my brain and I have like a love-hate relationship. It never shuts up. It's always one way or the other, no middle ground. Hyperfocusing is random and exhausting. To offer a glimpse of my daily struggles.
I believe in therapy, accountability, and choices. Strong communication is important to me. I work hard every day to be a little better than I was the day before. To proactively ground my easily dissociating and creative mind to reality and work through past trauma and current struggles.
