HE WHO FORGETS HISTORY IS BOUND TO REPEAT IT (but people who remember too much get bitter.)
Hi. I'm glad you came to visit. Have a seat... cup of virgin anyone?
Something you should know about me...: I deal with death every day. That kind of contact with her tends to make me focus on the important things. SO. If you can't be yourself when you talk to me, don't bother. If you can't speak the truth, say nothing. If you want to play some kind of game... I HAVE NO TIME FOR YOU. I mean that in the nicest possible way.
Questions I have been hearing:
1. What do you do for a living?
answer: I am a crisis care nurse. When a patient on hospice gets sick, I travel to wherever they are and sit with them in 12 hour stretches until they either get better or die.
2. Isn't that a hard job?
answer: Yes, but as far as I am concerned everyone in the room with me has a harder job than I do. Just ask my patient.
Please don't tell me that I am a good person for doing what I do, I am a good person for being who I am. What I do is something I consider necessary and good, yes, but it is not everything I am, any more than sexual orientation is what defines you.
This was written for my son by my good friend VENUMSTINGS. Thank you my friend, I honor you.
David In Moon Beam
Sky in the night is black, why?
O, there are stars up in the sky,
Twinkle so lovely,
Moon flown a lullaby,
David is to hear
And sleep in moonlight.
David in dream goes to star,
Play with his twinkle,
Chime of the Stars,
With lovely shine,
David dance in the moon light,
And David plays with the Stars.

I am a wife and mother. I am a nurse. I am a woman. I believe that it will all work out in the end.
I will continue to work on this profile for as long as I have it. Please do stop by whenever you like. My journal will always be full of the things I see at work that stick in my head. So if you want a glimpse of a different perspective, take a peek.
