"I laid low your warriors of old. I instilled terror in the hearts of men."
Personal History
Hello and welcome to my profile. My name is Tommy and I have been here on Vampire Rave, on and off for a few years now. As is often the case real life has a way of kicking your teeth in every now and again. Whether it be a stressful move, change of jobs or a souring relationship you often find yourself just lacking the free time to pursue those little joys of life. Things finally have gotten a bit more stable for me and I can once again enjoy the Rave...I'm really bad at this kind of thing because I never know what to write about myself. I pretty much lead a dull and uninteresting life. I wake up, take a shower, shave and head out to work.I live on the east coast but would like to make the move to the west coast. I was thinking about maybe California or Washington. I feel it's good to change things up in ones life to keep things interesting. It's so easy to fall into a never ending routine and then you find yourself unable to break that routine no matter how hard you try. I like to play my guitar and listen to music. My music of choice happens to be heavy metal/hard rock with my favorite band being Metallica. I'm a huge fan of those old Hammer movies. I totally loved their portrayal of Dracula, The Mummy and the Werewolf. Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee were two of my favorite actors, along with Vincent Price of course. Along with Vampires and Werewolves I also have a love for The Mummy. I remember watching the 1959 Hammer version with my father .
One of my favorite movies of all time is Reign of Fire and my life feels incomplete if I don't watch it at least twice a month, well maybe 3 times...LOL I had a hard time concentrating on things when I was younger so I wasn't really much of a reader. Every time I tried to read something my mind would wander and I would read the same line over and over again. I have gotten a bit better and one of my favorite things now is to read. I am far from intelligent but somehow managed to graduate High School and even did a few semesters at the local College, which was pointless because I had no idea what I wanted to do. I wound up trying to major in liberal arts but dropped out after 3 semesters and started working construction. My favorite colors are red, black, blue and gold. My favorite holiday is Halloween. I was a huge Dungeon and Dragons fan and was particularly fond of the Ravenloft expansion module. As a matter of fact a lot of my favorite books at the time were Ravenloft inspired. From Dungeons I moved on to Vampire: The Masquerade, which gave me tons of hours of enjoyment. This name as a matter of fact was the name of one of my characters, he was Ventrue and totally rocked. I was also a huge fan of the fantasy art of Julie Bell and Boris Vallejo. At the time, it was the best art there was that captured warrior women riding or taming mystical beasts.
I bought quite a few of Julie Bell/Boris Vallejo's art books and statues. My favorite piece was Boris Vallejo's version of Vampirella. I had a huge poster of that hanging in my room for the longest time. I really liked the fact that Julie Bell was also the model used for a lot of the works. I didn't use the image in my profile here because I'm not sure if Vampirella is too scantily clad. When in doubt it's always better to exclude the image, lol. Their artworks even inspired me to start lifting weights which I still enjoy doing to this day. I truly wish I could get a few people together to play Vampire: The Masquerade again. I would love to relive some of the memorable moments I had while playing. I think this time I would try to play a Toreador. I used one in the Vampire Masquerade Bloodlines game very recently but never on the desktop RPG. I was so psyched when they said they were releasing a Vampire Bloodlines 2 game but it seems to be put on hold for some reason or another. I would love to play the game with this generations latest graphics but until then I still play the first game, which has outdated graphics but is still fun. As a matter of fact there still is a person who makes huge updates every few months to the game. which totally adds to the fun factor and re-playability.
I hate it when I can't find an image I'm looking for especially if it's supposed to be used as a background. I don't like people who feel they have to yell over you to prove their point. I can't stand bullies of any kind, whether the cyber ones or IRL ones. I don't like broccoli and string beans, you might as well throw spinach into the "don't like" list as well. I don't really like sports all that much, these days with all the political garbage. I mean not to stand for the National Anthem is ridiculous. This is the country these sports figures are making their millions of dollars in...they would never make as much in any other country. I don't really like all these superhero movies nowadays which have ridiculous storylines and way too much CGI. Whatever happened to suspense and character development? In the NAV box below I listed a few of my favorite movies, books, Games, TV shows and bands. Please keep in mind that I'm an older dude and some of these shows you may never heard of. It totally sucks bigtime getting older but one must do so with eloquence and grace. I chose to do Dragons as my theme this time because I was always fascinated by them and would watch or read anything having to do with them...Thank you, kindly for stopping by and may your days be filled with joy and happiness. Run free my sisters and brothers.

I had to apply some security updates. I needed to take the site down for a few hours to complete everything. I did it in the middle of the night.. When hopefully, most of you wouldn't notice :)
