Rogue’s mutant power enables her to absorb the memories and powers of anyone that makes contact with her bare skin. Initially taken in by Mystique and Destiny, the impressionable Rogue was inducted into the Brotherhood of Evil. Permanent absorption of Ms. Marvel’s powers granted Rogue superhuman strength, near invulnerability, and flight capability. Fearing the potential danger that threatened everyone around her, Rogue ultimately sought out the X-Men in the hopes of tempering her abilities.
