Jake Foley is a computer geek for the NSA. He dreams of being a field agent. A routine computer call puts him in a top secret laboratory, during a shootout between security guards and a saboteur. In the shooting a vial containing an experimental serum explodes, covering Jake with shrapnel. The serum is made up of nanomites, microscopic submachines that heal his injuries and alter his body. Discovering his new powers, Jake starts to operate at an atomic level, superhuman strength, lightning-fast speed, heightened hearing, magnified vision and the ability to communicate telepathically with computers. The NSA realizes Jake is an asset and forms a Special Ops team with him at its core. Jake finally realizes his dream of being of being a field operative.
