Its five years after the events of the original series, 15-year old Ben Tennyson must put the Omnitrix back on to rescue Grandpa Max from a new foe: the Highbreed and their DNAlien servants. Unable to complete this task by himself, he is joined by his cousin Gwen and a reformed Kevin. Along the way, they meet the children of other Plumbers, many of whom have powers similar to Ben's previous alien forms as a result of an alien parent.
In removing the Omnitrix in the past it seems that Ben inadvertently damaged it memory, and upon replacing it on his arm it reboots supplying him with ten completely new alien forms, and changing the look of the Omnitrix itself.
Alien forms:
1. Goop: Can change the form of his body at will. (Essentially Upgrade just not nearly as interesting).
2. Jetray: Can fly, swim really fast and shoot powerful energy beams from his eyes. (Basically an alien with XLRB’s speed and Upchucks energy abilities)
3. Echo echo: emits sonic attacks and can self replicate. (Fourarm’s sonic wave ability and Ditto’s replication combined)
4. Humungosaur: Has incredible strength and size changing abilities. (Fourarm’s strength and Realbigs size combined)
5. Brainstorm: Super intelligent, and electrokinetic. (Effectively Greymatter without the annoying size element and with a little added fire power)
6. Big Chill: Can pass through solid matter, become invisible, fly and freeze things. (A combo if Ghostfreak and an alien possessed by Ben 10,000)
7. Chromastone: Is a living crystal, he can absorb energy and is virtually indestructible. (Diamondhead)
8. Spider monkey: Has four arms, can stick to walls and shoot webs.
9. Alien X: Thoughts become reality.
10. Swampfire: Shoots fire, regenerates and controls plant life. (A combination of Heatblast and Wildvine)
In my opinion the creators have been lazy with the developments of the characters and the new alien forms, completely change the back story of the abilities of both Gwen and Kevin, and even going as far as to kill a character we have seen in the distant future, this show is a very poor replacement for the original Ben 10.
