Nick Knight (Geraint Wyn Davies) is a 13th-century vampire living in modern-day Toronto. In an effort to regain his mortality, Knight atones for 700 years of evil by fighting crime as a homicide detective for the Toronto police.

Based on the CBS Television movie Nick Knight, the series was launched as a late-night syndicated package. The show was in many ways brilliant for its time, but Forever Knight failed to establish a mainstream audience and the result was the eventual cancellation after only 3 seasons.
