Well I was wondering, do summoning spells work. I mean to like summon spirits and such. If so how would you go about doing it?

They can but you need to be extremely careful about what you summon. And have the ability to send back what was called, and be able to close the portal that was opened. Otherwise you will have great problems

Is summoning:

Know what/who you want to summon
Cast a protection spell around yourself
Know the specifics of why you're summoning
Do the summoning
When finished, send back the energies

Now I would do this with someone, if this is your first time.

I agree mastermel! Also, a very important rule is to know thyself! Without that, you essentially are performing a spell and just hoping for the best. Also, spirits, entities and beings will take advantage if you are not careful.

yes, very true, I have summoned seven spirits and was able to maintain control over the situation by staying extremely focused,
had I been distracted in the slightest way, I would have ended up either possessed or dead, at any rate, I only use summoning spells in emergencies, I prefer not to become bigheaded in the subject

I dont call up spirits, I merely accept as they pass by me.

But I believe they work, yes.

I would first work on summoning more element-based entities before anything 'larger.'

Once you have a bit more control, you can summon other beings.

You can always summon deities first (Athena, Zeus, etc-- ones with a specific reign, or goal [ie wisdom, love, etc]) and ask for their help in a specific task.

Now don't go summoning something stupid....

I believe that summoning should only be done when there's a legit need, not just for something you want. There's a difference, and a karmic effect is always entailed.

To a more detailed description of Summoning spectre beings. Yes it works. But at a random summoning. You have no control over who you summon unless you have the spirits true name and the ays of the Dark Arts. be EXTREMELY careful on what you say durring an encantation. One mishap and it will be over. You might even summon one of the Deadly Sins. Yes they are real. 6 is the strongest and the most violent one of them all. 6 kills anyone who summons it.

6 as even debated upon after a girl was found in Ohiho near a lake. Her entire body had been mutilated and thrown all around for three miles of the lake park. Her remains are still being found to this day. Someone had witnessed this hppening. They claimed it to be of human looks. But it had horns and its eyes were the color of crimson red. A blood red look to the flesh. It stank of decay and reaked of Death. The person claimed. Everyone ignored him when he had told every reporter on what he saw attacking the female at night. But there was no ev' to what done it. It had to be something stronger thn a bear the docters had claimed. Something that could tear a limb off with ease and without being stressed. The bite marks on the female's severed limbs were not animal or human bite marks. They were unknown to the so called "Reality" viewers. Reality viewers ignore and completely unintellectual enough to comprehend that we are not alone in the world. Other dimensions are out there.

I posted this to continue the debate on Spells for summoning. They work to an extent. Yes. But other than that. It works at random. So be AWARE. Never try summoning one of the Deadly Sins. They will kill you different ways. ._. That is all for now. Have a fantastical day! xD

However the elements always seem more than happy to help learn... others, not so much.

Elements are bound to other dimensions. Elements are purer and more safer to use than that of random selection of spirits. You do not know if the spirit ulled to you is a Goodly or one of the Evil and Deadly ones.

The markings on a table that you should be using when summoning to protect yourself is the markings of Fire, Water, Earth, and Wind. Make sure you get the Elemental Emblems of them. Because if you try and use different versions of the Emblems. You will die. Or be cursed. Or Join the spirit in one of mingling essences. This is a BAD thing. You do not want them inside your body. It is like having two different personalities.

You don't even need a table as an altar.

Simple summoning can be done with as little as a single candle as long as there is focus.

I still stand by the idea of when first learning to harness your personal powers and energies, having a mentor.

Hm that story about that girl being killed scares me. I think I will wait a while to try any summoning spells until I learn more, and I will first find a mentor. Thanks for all the input.

Things like that only happen in horror movies, and through underground cults--which you should not be screwing around with, anyhow.

Elements are also pure energy and pure in nature and intent. They cannot be fooled as well, and can detect true intention.

I personally begin most rituals, rites, spells, etc with a basic summoning. We are surrounded by all sorts of energies, beings, and spirits all the time. Most of which have little or no interest in us. True there are some malevolent ones but taking care in how you set up your space and circle will prevent them from influencing you.

Making sure to give them credit for how they are helping you is a good thing to add to the routine too. Even just a basic thanks and release often does the trick.

I also know of one spirit that lived in a house I used to rent who was fond of coins for whatever reason. Money used to get moved around all the time. I started leaving a small bowl with coins in it and told the spirit this was for them so leave any other money alone. It worked.

Most spirits like attention or at least acknowledgement. I have come in contact with a few slightly more rowdy ones, one that even left marks on my arms and legs as I slept. A warning didn't stop it. A cleansing barely phased it. I had to be up front and did several protection spells and banishings before it left me alone.

We live with spirits and such every day in my opinion. Give them as much care and respect as you do the living.

They do work. In my opinion you should cast a circle of protection first and also when done make sure that you dismiss the spirits in a safe and respectful manner'also be careful what you are summoning them for as well.
