I've completed another section of Vampire Rave, The Conservatory.

It's a simple webchat interface. You must be logged into Vampire Rave in order to see the link. It's in the Main Menu.

This is kind of a test. Webchat technology is still light years behind basic IRC. I've got some ideas for improvements... So I will be making modifications from time to time.

ever think of using the java app for IRC Cancer ?

Ok now i feeling a little STUPIT, here,I log on,but all i see is, the welcome sighn,and all the links on the sides. the king says he see's me and tried to chat..but i've got nothing????

I'm on the Conservatory and so is star, I sent her a message but she didn't see it and she said on IRC that

yeah its kinda hard to test anything if noone else is there :/ sent a msg to myself but nothing showed up!!

checked out the leave us alone video I enjoyed it. amused me at the end enough to make me chuckle ... never seen myself purple like that!

ok so retested the consevatory...... dunno what I clicked but my meep msg came up after a few seconds!!

All I see is a blank, black screen when I log on. It has the "welcome" banner, but nothing more.

well it works just fine .. if nothing shows up after 5 seconds mouse over the area it should show up in it ...eventually gets there...

Melody, I had the same problem at first. The chat opens up in a pop-up window. So, if you have a pop-up killer, try disabling it for that page, and try again.

I use the one in the Google toolbar, and it lets you disable by holding down the CTRL button when you open the link.

Yeah, I will be scrapping the existing script when I get time. I'm going to go with a java IRC client and just point it at #vampires. That way, those of us already in #vampires won't have to do a thing... And it will provide an interface for everyone else.

OK, so I'm very excited that I was able to access the forum by disabling pop-up blocker, but, after only a few exchanges, I was no longer able to view my messages sent or view those sent to me. I feel too stupid to cross the street when it comes to computers.

I can't wait to chat with everyone in the Conservatory.

Okay... *TOTALLY* redid The Conservatory. Try the new interface. It pops open a new window so you'll need to disable popup blockers (they're evil anyway).

It's a java applet. Let me know if you have any problems running it. You might need Sun's java files (not sure if Microsoft's Java Machine will run it). If this turns out to be the case, I'll post those installation instructions.

ok looks alot better..but it says can not log in ,is that because of the microsoft java .?? i have added updates to my profile ,some have seen them some have not..I just wanna be loved

If you don't give the applet permission it won't be able to establish the telnet connection it needs so it can connect to IRC.

If you are not seeing an authorization pop up, then it might be because your Internet security settings in your browser is set too high.

Im just gonna have to get my bookies to buy me a completely new computer system. I can't do anything that requires downloading... point click drag paste...any of that stuff. No fun shit for me till that happens.... Im sure its cool though=)
