what do u think about this new bs with having to be a level 3 to bite. should those who did not take advagtage or over beat the bite feature be punished for some others lack of brains??

yeah i agree with u, his site his rules, personally i like that idea. levels needs restriction so yeah. some people in the lower levels abused the bitting so much that its resticted which is good. and so on...

If you can't advance past level 2 then you're not a dedicated VR member. Getting to Shadow or Marplot is very easy... And doing so demonstrates that you are not just signing up bogus accounts with nefarious intentions.

at first I thought it was bogus too. But, it gave me more incentive to move up the ranks so to speak. It only takes a little while and then you are awarded more priveledges, as with anything in life. Nothing is worth having unless you work at it.

I've seen members hit level 4 in under 2 days.

I remember does days oh how easy it was to go up in a level.Now it takes days on the rave an thousands of pages viewed.But keep at it and you will make it.

Exactly, There are too many people who sign up to cause havoc and have no respect for the sight. Restrictions are there to make this site a enjoyable and friendly experience. If you give eeveryone the same rights from day one, all hell would break lose. And as Cancer so correctly points out. It is easy to reach the higher levels. If it was up to me to make the choices i would set them higer. I strongly believe that when you reach levels 6/7 then you truly understand every aspect on the site and can make the most out of your experience and time here. And it's good to have a challenge, i love gaining levels and the bonuses that come with the levels. It's a way of rewarding the dedicated members.. you could say it seperates the Men from the Boys... and the Vampires from the wannabe's.. etc.... V------V

I like it, when I started, I randomly bit people - much to their annoyance I'm sure - until I figured out how things worked.

hey i like being bit, cuz it makes me feel like a pin cushion! ok really i don't mind having those restrictions at first because in a way, it's like a game of let's see how far we can level up. *smiles*

I think your very brave to question the rules of a site that you have only just joined...
However, I understand why your asking.I agree that these rules may seem odd to you, but they are there for a reason. As with everywhere on the internet, people to not always have good or dedicated intentions, and those people shouldn't be given the priviledges to cause havoc or upset. Just the other day I got some strange messages off a whelp, which I found offensive, but as whelps only get five messages a day they couldn't continue...

My oppinion: At first I thought it wasn't such a good idea to limit bites, as I, even as a newbie myself found it a good way for a shy person to be able to get over their shyness and say hello. But I fully understand why certain things needed to be changed. To many people were taking advantage of a good thing this site had to offer. I have recieved many strange messages, and messages from people that I could tell were trying to start something with me or about this site and I think it's ashame when a person can't fully enjoy all that something has to offer due to they way a handfull of indivduals act. Ask anyone here, they will tell you how quickly you can advance in the early stages, this is a great site that Cancer and others have put in a lot of hours, blood sweat and tears to keep up for us (John Q Public) so if you like the site and you like people then follow the rules as they are set forth and then things won't have to be changed allt he time. It is CANCER's descretion wither or not this site remains what it is, and remains ONLINE..... not ours!

P.S. Cancer, just don't limit the length of a message or post LOL Then I'd be lost ehheheheh J/K

Seems fair to me. It also seems like it is part of growing if you know what I mean. You have to almost earn it. Just think how many Whelps would be running around biting eachother out of excitement. I don't think it's an insult. I had to go through the same thing it seemed fair to me. It makes it even nicer when you get to level three. *shrugs* I don't know that's just me.

It is sad, almost I suppose...
But it has happened and it is working nicely. It is incredibly easy to reach level three. It's good to earn things sometimes....

on my old forum there were about 10 admins, as the site grew and more idiotic kids infiltrated it. the number of admins grew, it currently stands at 21!

I'm wondering if this site will need even more work and moderation as it grows :S

It might get messy sometimes but things usually work out. The admins seem to have a good handle on things. I suppose if we all keep in line and such it will be easier to deal with the newbies that come along.

we're all keeping in line, because we respect this place. why treat something wonderful badly?

now they are paying. i've seen (in my short time here) an increase in the amount of idiotic posts... and i've not been here that long at all!

it's not a trend i like, as i've seen it before on another forum. that one sucks now. the only reason i ever go on that is to check mails from the people i met off the forums. but i hardly talk to them now.

The most important thing to remember is if you dont like the rules, leave. I for one wont miss anyone that complains about little things like this.
