The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

I have a question about Vampirism & OBE (Out of Body Experiences). Is it common for you, if you practice any sort of vampirism to have out of body experiences? If so, what are they like? Do you feed on others when you do? Are they brought on through meditation or sleep? This topic really fascinates me.

I have had many OBE. Sometimes I do feel more energized after them as if I'd astrally fed, but I do not claim to do that when I'm traveling. It's hard to explain how it feels.. You consciously aware of "you" moving about, but it is nothing physical until you "snap" back into your body. I've done extensive research on this subject, but it is still difficult to explain the actual experience. I would suggest to try it, but it isn't a good idea unless you know how to safely depart and return.

That is interesting. I have experienced dreamwalking, but nothing while being awake and alert. Do you have any information from your research you can or would share?

I am under the current belief that Vampirism has not much to do with OBE , as much as it leans more toward the Pineal gland's manufacture and release of DMT into our system because of various personal triggers.

I also wouldn't relate vampirism and OBE. I have dreamwalked often as well.. I find both to be things I've practiced without knowing for awhile. When I found the words for them I was surprised.. Usually it takes a great deal of mind power for such.
I'll post on here again after I find words to express OBEs of the different types.

I think the O.B.E's would relate more to the Mara (Old Hag syndrome). It is where the term, "nightmare" came from. Thought to be the work of the Succubus.

You speak of Atonia SS. And yes,I agree that OBE could in fact be a result of Atonia at times,but in certain situations,people are not transitioning out of REM when they experience an OBE.

Whilst I am not sure of OBE, I am able to do something Ive come to know as remote viewing. I conciously visit places in my mind and can describe them in detail, positions of furniture, room layouts and general directions of places. Although it seems strange I am always certain about my knowledge of a place before I get there.

Being vampiric myself, I have experienced many moments of OBE and have encountered other vampires OBE as well. Yes feeding is involved and is how LordWolf describes it. One doesn't have to practice it to do it. It is mostly a natural situation.

From what my own research and experience show, OBE is certainly not exclusive to those who claim to be vampires.
Dejavu,empathy,precognition and telepathy etc, are all a natural part of the human condition,and like other humans,vampires would very likely be subject to many of the same triggers that affect the"normal" human as well.So with that said,what Im thinking is that sometimes the rush of "feeding" probably acts in the same way as most triggers do,causing the release of certain endorphins that might or might not cause an OBE experience.

To my understanding all spiritual activity is the result of the brains power to bridge time and space i.e. magick and faith. Many minds working on common grounds exponentially increase this effect. With the advent of patriarchal religeons and the civiization of society, repression of sexuallity and the predatory instinct to hunt create powerful elemental spirits.
If your looking for this cartharsis to make yourself whole you should look into it further. I'm kind of spoiled with an unholy anointing so dont have the will and therefore disipline to pursue. If none of your dark kin want to take the time to work with you on it, may I suggest to start working with lucid dreaming(waking up inside your dreams) your very own hunting grounds.
