I did it twice and no change occured in that "You have completed ..." so it can't do that . ???

To update your status, you need to do things first.... Like..Rate other peoples profile and portfolios, Read and rate journal entries. Post and reply to Threads in the Forum. read a certain number of pages per hour... I know it all sounds like a lot. but I started out as a whelp, became a premium member did everything I just listed and jumped four levels in about a week. So it takes time but it is worth it.

click it when you've done more things and been on a while

some levels seem to take forever. i was stuck as a fiend for about 2 weeks then went up from unclean spirit in 3 days.

As an addendum, the Update Your Status link is really no longer necessary. Whenever you log into VR, your Status is automatically updated.
