We've all studied it at some point in high, or middle school.
"two star-cross lovers take their lives ".. now that .. is a good topic to talk about ..
Would you take your life because you couldn't be with the one you love???..
Would you die for love or die loving???
i'd personally put my life before anyone i care about...
as for love related deaths... GET OVER IT!
well yeah love is important and sometimes it does feel like you just can't go on but life really does go on at the end of it all. so no i dont see myself dying for the one i love.
Remeo?????
Ita a fair enough quesiton, but also a cleverly disguised love thread.
I have not yet had a love that great... hell i haven't even had a love period.
as one might say...
No love for the wicked...
Their deaths did mend ancient greivence
Tossed too and throw by family and ancient woes
Children with everything to live for
damn fools say I
so now more suicides
no more talk of love
no no no
by two deaths war is stopped
was this play about love
I think not
It took the death of their beloved children to stop
rather than the childrens tale
Two households, both alike in dignity,
In fair Verona, where we lay our scene,
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.
From forth the fatal loins of these two foes
A pair of star-cross'd lovers take their life;
Whole misadventured piteous overthrows
Do with their death bury their parents' strife.
The fearful passage of their death-mark'd love,
And the continuance of their parents' rage,
Which, but their children's end, nought could remove,
Is now the two hours' traffic of our stage;
The which if you with patient ears attend,
What here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend.
mslefaye... was there any reason for that post? or was it just to add 1 to a certain counter?
Gorey, you little biatch *giggles*
He has got a point though, you just copied and pasted Shakespeare.
thats all i ever do aye
point is this quite simply
it wasnt about love
it was about the ending of the war
and quite simply the only thing that woke the families up from their own stupidity
was their suicides over each other
I understand your point and, as an actress, your not the only Shakespeare fan here... but it wasnt answering her question.
if an apple equals an orange would you be a pear?
simply no suicide is not an option for me
been there tried that didnt work
and propagating the thought of a tragedy of war with a thread on a fictional war and two fictional suicides is apple orange pear
for the question has been answered in the way my mind determines
discussion is just that else simple answers of Yes or no would suffice!
now if you care to take this, my writing style or translation of thought to form, further I rather suggest you take it to private message rather than cluttering up the forums yourself ......
i'm pretty sure that wondering about where the sense is in certain posts is not cluttering the forums... merely wondering what the hell you're going on about so people might be able to respond
true cuz i dont know what ur talking about more then half of the time.
question answered and explained twice
shall we continue elsewhere or would you like to continue here?
/clutter>
hey cut her some slack
we all express ourselves differently. it's not her fault if you can't be bothered to look for the meaning behind her words.
i think it's a case of "i don't see the meaning so i'm asking"
it isn't my fault if a high percentage of her posts are near non-sensical.
welcome to number cluter where instead of speaking on the subject presented as romeo and juliet and represented as would you kill yourself for love has degressed into the nonsensical ramblings on others nonsensical ramblings
/cluter>
so instead of this nastiness feel free to message me
As for suicide or allowing self to be killed that does not do a loved one any good at all
when you are dead you cannot live
is that what your lover would want?
i would not want my lover dead over me
and i certainly would find it hard to love someone that would want me to go with
mslefaye, you have been warned...reprimanded... nagged... gorey simply did in public what many other have done in private...this is another crappy love thread and therefore is closed.
And by the way, YES, i DO enjoy the title of forum natzi....
i suspect most when answered this question would say no that they would go one living. the fact is romeo and juleit were children i the eyes of life and thats what made there love so pure. juliet herself was mearly 13 when this took place. if romeo and juliet were 20 or so it would have turned out differently because of the fact they would have had the commen sence to not take there lives but also they probubly never would have gotten together in the fist place due to the fact that adults do not rush love and are to busy to look for it. also they probubly would have hated eachother due to the way they were raised. but the fact that they were of such an impressional youth dictates the storys ending. this is why you cannot truly see the way they they did inless you were looking through the eyes of a child. but when i am asked the answer would always be yes i would kill myself if i found the other half to my soul and it was brutally ripped away from me. i wouldnt want to live with out the breath from the love that sustained me and with a kiss i die...
