damn thats messed up they shouldnt change him. i loved it when he said C is for cookie. but yeah tv shows are being ruined by things like that i guess.

OMG .. ok, I am a product of the 70's, 80's and 90's ... yeah so i am dating myself here so what ... I loved SS growing up and even now for teaching the kiddes things .. but uhm .. is it really necessary to write a thread about them changing the Cookie Monster .. when Ernie is no longer allowed to have hsi rubber ducky will you write a thread then too. Sorry to sound like such a bitch, but come on .. now maybe if this was about the Count .. well then I could see ya posting something, being a Vampire and all

you never know. They could pull the Count because he is not PC, to sterotipical and might offend someone. Peolpe are strange, and the people in charge of TV are the worst. They are responsible for the Teletubbies, not thats scarry. *shudders*

never watched sesame street but wtf its not going to help by changing some char on a kids show

the idea is not to support being a glutton
and having seen the couch potatoe kids not surprised they are overweight
instead of letting the kids watch tv play on computer and play video games
perhaps buying the brats a bike and sending them outside to play....

I was never one of those kids who spent all their time inside, watching tv, and stuffing my face. And I watched SS when I was really really little. CM was my second fav any how. I have always loved the count....

it the cookie thing should matter everyone eats cookies. and everyone doesnt have to be a perfect weight but yeah i can see why they are doing this. some little are getting way to fat but thats the parents fault on that. some parents let there kids eat anything they want which is not good. the tv people are just using this show as in excuse

This is a joke right? My childhood was crappy to begin with, but now they're taking away cookies from cookie monster? That's rediculous. Cookie monster doesn't make kids fat, chubby greedy children getting spoiled rotten by their parents who don't know how to say N-O and a micky-D's/taco bell/burgerking at every corner makes kids fat.

What the bloody hell?? I grew up watching sesame street and I loved cookie monster! It's not like we're forcing cookies down the throats of the children....People are over weight because the chose to eat junk food and not because it was forced down their throats which brings me to another point teh lawsuits against various fast food restaurants is a load of bullsh*t. These people are not being forced to go and eat the food there. They bloody choose it! Y a know a little self control can go a long way but no...people feel the need to blame others for their current overweight condition. grrrrr shutting up now my rant is over...

This has got to be some kind of sick jock. You can't change the blue guy, I love that dude. That song C is for cookie is programmed into my head. Watching cookie monster doesn't make kids want to eat cookies. Is it not the job of the parent/guardian of the child to make sure that they eat healty and not the producers of Sesame Street. There is no way they are going to change Cookie Monster, I don't care what anybody says it is just not going to happen.
