of both....and a big celebration of this time of year...and it also invites new witches into the coven in some places...

Bastard now does not mean a lot but a few hundred years ago it had quite a bit of meaning and was quite shameful.
The Child or children conceived though on Beltane were considered a blessing rather than the shameful.

has anyone ever been to the Pagan Pride thing in Cali? I know one guy who goes every year---he's a chaos magician. I was just curious as to what it's like and if it's just a bunch of fluff bunny wiccans running around.

haven't you ever heard that term. I'm wiccan myself and you have seriously just pissed me off. It's the fluff bunnies that usually do that in the first place. Unfortunately for most wiccans they read silver ravenwolf so by the time the book is finished their brains have turned to mush.

well i haven't been to a gathering....or am i part of a coven....but...the info here is very nice to here....... and the gathering i hear about are ones of celabrations...and joy......check out .....circle network news it is a place on line.... and kinda cool....

I was raised a witch (not all Wiccan and Pegan stuff... just a witch. A traditional Italian witch to be exact.) and some things like this upset me... more terms then there should be! There are also way to different versions of subject matters! But this happens with all religions I guess...
