If a vampire was to consume the equivalent of a human beings body content of blood, how long would the effect of that blood intake last, before the vampire would need to feed again?

It would physically make one sick.In spite of being a vampire,they are still human.Humans cannot tolerate large quantities of blood at one time.Granted,there are cultures across the world who consume blood..The Inuit,Maasai and other peoples.There is also blood sausage and blood soup etc..Much of those are prepared in some manner,mixed with milk while being straight out of a wound in the neck.Blood sausage is cooked until it is congealed.
But yes,to drink that amount of blood at once would make someone pretty nauseated,considering it is a purgative of sorts.

I would say lets play pretend in hypothetically sci-fi vampire sort of.

If the vampire was to intake such amount of blood, it would cause a freenzy, or sort of overload, of blood force or energy, creating a bezerker, or some how an incontrolable vampire who would crave for more blood over and over and over till overdose like a junky and death permanent.

What they are trying to say is that the human stomach won't be able to contain all that blood and will vomit it out and in the worse case scenario, the person will choke.
People can easily consume blood at their leisure, hell its a served dish in some countries but like all food, too much of it is a bad thing.

I am in agreeance with most everyone here. If one did try to take in a full 5qts, the body would regergitate what it can't take in and keep. And most likely, the physical symptoms afterward would be very discomforting. It's way too much for one stomach living or not.

A vampire would only consume enough needed for survival and would have no reason to fully drain a human. But if you want specifics, then ask one. They may tell you.

The consumption of blood is a slow process. Is like a dog. You put water to a dog...he doesn't drink it all at one time. like someone said, Vampire only drink blood to satisfy the thirst.

to be quite honest the vampire would be able to consume almost all of the blood,and last maybe two days before it needs to feed again.depending on whether or not the human was alive when the vampire started feeding.

If one tried to consume all of someones blood you would die.. A Sang can only take a few CC's before having too much.. because taking more than you should can cause serious harm..
