This in reference to darknessbounds' forum, my friend who is in the military went to hati and said that in the hospitals there were witch doctors. You weren't allowed to go in certain parts b/c of the evil which dwelled behind the curtains. It was where the witch doctors were, i guess. Ne ways he didn't go back behind the curtain but one of his men did, and as soon as they left the hospital, he came down with a fever of 106. I dont know if this has anything to with the curtain and whatever. Or even the zombies for that matter, but it was pretty interesting.

..I think zombies are more of evil creatures....Lifeless and bloodthisty, risen from the grave. They are called by necromancers, shamans and sometimes black magic practitioners to do their bidding... It would be vary cool to call a zombie though

I've never heard of anyone getting "cured" from being a zombie... so if the fevor broke I'd have to guess that if it did have something to do with the curtain, maybe there was something contagious on it..

Even though the start of this forum has nothing to do with zombies I do have something to say about them. Zombies (real or fake) are just like vampyres, theyre found all thru history in different races, religions and parts of the world. I dont know if theyre real but I do know that zombies like vampyres are never portrayed correctly in movies, books and TV.

I htink there is so much we dont understand, and I also believe that a lot of it is psychological, and I do try to bear that in mind with things of this nature.

In response to lilly, if you had read the previous thing on zombies by darknessbound you would have seen my post on the thing about my friend in hati and how i was going to post some info on his experience there. And also read my first post, its states that it really doesn't have anything to do with zombies, I was just following up on my promise to get some info about being there. Hati!! just in cause you didn't get that.

Zombies are infernal animals really with reduced brains because they eat away at their own brains. They feed of anything, like goats, and can't be turned like vampires but if you kicked one in the head it would probably smash, they are summoned by Necromancers or evil wizrds and are 100 times less intelligent than a vampire. They are often gathered in groups by a mage or Shaman and they hunger for death. They are evil like vampires too.

Um...I dont think all vampires are evil. I think some are as 'normal' as humans....and I also think zombies are not evil...it depends on those who summoned them

In Acupuncture I know that there are protocols for treating "evil spirits". These enter the body through certain points.

In some alternative medicine schools they will teach possession treatments, but when doing them you are supposed to leave all windows and doors open so that the evil spirit can leave the building and not enter someone else (like the shaman or whatever) or the person it had just left again.

Seems like your friend walked into one of those kinds of treatments.

i was able to visit this littletown in panama once with an anthropologist who was actually doing a study on the zombies of this village..
now i have always had an open mind..but when isaw just what they did with some fo the men that died and then later on that week saw them up and walking..
i can tell you that my mind is more then wide open, its damn near corrupted..

Zombies definitely hav a place in all kinds of cultures.. but especially in places where christianity has not become the over powering force. I belive that all kinds of things are possible, and surely your friends "side effect " could have been brought on by some type of ritual goings on behind the curtain...here in our country,.. we believe that it was the great OZ lol, but in other countries there are deep founded roots for their suspicions and rituals.

Finally someone who is speaking with some type of knowledge. I admit a few other people have commented with smarts, but this is one of the few that i really liked. Good humor too!! Thanks a bunch!!
