I was watching Trinity Blood (an anime about vampires) when this fact was 'pointed' out. Humans, technically feeds on the blood of animals right? And vampires on human. Now is it somehow possible...to have something that feeds on vampire blood. I mean some kind of vampire

Not right...Humans do not depend solely on animal blood to feed...huamns are omnivores which makes them different to vampires...Vampires exist cause humans exists as technically they are mostly parasite not predators ..you just brought the right argument with the wrong assumption, but the there might be a possbility where something else might feed on vampires, thus adding more to the food chain...

yes vampyres can feed off of each other, but they are the highest on the food chain. so nothing else feeds off of them

Its a good point in theory... but I still think that as a human, you can feed on human blood nstead of animal blood (i.e. one gives you consent, and one you feel comfortable with drinking) and still be considered a vegetarian.

Considering that the mythical vampire isn't toally untouchable in temrs of being damaged and destroyed, then surely it would be possible, although I don't really know what would be considered above a vmapire in tha type of food chain.

In reading some of this, I find a lot f flaws, for one, if anatomically, the research done of vampires, as far as hellspawned ones, they lack blood, therefore cannot be fed upon. The only blood they have in their system is what ever they have drinken in a said amount of time. As far as the statement of humans feeding off of animals blood, I am leaving that untouched. But it is in my assumption that it would not only be unorthodox, as well as unprofiting for another parasite to feed off of a first parasite

I tend to agree with yendor... And thank god humans don't live on animal blood... cause a number of them wouldn't live past a week.... talking about the vegeterians and the vegans!

Vampires can feed off other vampires!

Vampires can feed off other vamps, humans can feed off humans, vamps can feed off humans and animals, but most prefer humans, and humans can in a way feed off of animal blood, but most that eat meat don't do it in order to drink the blood. There are those that don't eat meat, but do drink blood and those that do usually prefer human blood over animal blood, but some are the opposite. Remember, this is all just in my experience.

there are those people who are not vampyres but just love the taste of blood. so this would (if the person was willing of course) be a case of where someone fed off a vampyre

Most of the time you can't believe what you read. I have read that vampires drink blood, plasma, white blood cells, sugar taken through the blood, oxygen put through the blood, and other things you don't want to hear about. But as said before some feed off each other.

Well both me and my Fiance are "Vampires" as you put it and we feed off each other so I guess the answer could be ME ?

Humans don't depend just on animal blood.. that would be alittle disturbing. Vampyres do feed off each other if that is what they choose... and I'm sure that there is something above us, but we just are not too sure of what it is yet.

The point to remember here is that a vampire's blood isnt really any different than a human's blood. None of us here are vampires that have actually "died" and come back. We are not undead corpses.

A vampire consumes human blood, it is STILL human blood in his system. Hence, if somethign fed off vampire blood, he would essentually be drinking human blood. That would make him a vampire, feedign off another vampire.

One thought, though.....would be if there was a force or creature that fed off psy vampires. Prana (energy) is found in blood but I believe a psy vamp would better know how to assimilate this energy. As such, a psy vamp would (in my opinion) likely have a large amount of energy stored inside him or her, atleast more than an individual not burdened with the curse of vampirism.

What I am getting at is that I could see something feeding off the energy of a vampire, but if going purely for blood, you are just a vampire stealing from a fellow vampire. That is, assuming that this creature in not simply another psy vamp, and could somehow be classified otherwise.

Open to interpretation and/or your corrections.

Vampires can feed of anything that has blood, even other vampires if they have just fed. I mean the blood is in them. May not be worth the feed, but it would curb an appetite.

i believe it to be quite possible, blade II shows that there could be a geneticly altered vampire that feeds on vampire and humans alike, life imitating art so to speak

I agree that humans unless they have a major facination with vampires and try to hard to be like them rarely ever get the idea to consume just blood it is almost always done by humans with some kind of other food present at the time so that they are not totally relying on the blood to nourish them but most humans get sick just thinking about blood going near thier mouths.

      Looking for a Krusnik sis? Anyway my theses is that there is always someone ahead of you so vampires are not exactly on top of the food chain there maybe someone higher...

      Oh and as for animal blood there is this filipino delicacy called "Dinuguan" made of pig's blood and inner body parts. yup and most of my family eats it except me...

I think that humans can drink the blood of animals and other humans, but that don't make them Vampires does it? And in some text if a vampire feeds off another Vampire they can become deathly sick. But that is just a myth... I belive... I'm not sure. But any human that dirnks the blood of someone or thing else is just alittle odd. ........

Here where I live blood sausage is cooked and eaten daily as well as boiled calves blood with salt and bread, so I guess some live off animal blood, but seriously vampires? I dont think so

As a blood drinker my self I must say that yes we feed off of other vampires but we also feed off other people as for me I have 4 people that I can feed off of my best one is my wife she understands what I must be going through when i do not get to feed so some feed and some do not.

good question but the only thing i can think of is the vamps feed on eachother i would say we just feed on eachother becouse i have been feed from by another vamp its very pleasurable to me and i have feed from vamps so all in all i would have to say its a mutual thing

The reson some Vampires feed of Humans and not animals is they need Epinephrine that is produced in humans more than in animals. Most of the blood drinkers I know get a rush like a junky on smack. Mmmm Ok this thread is making me hungry. :)

the only thing i know of that feeds on vampyres is other vampyres. we feed off of each other. the blood tastes better
