there IS chat, is called pming "private messaging' and the Vamp Box IS a chat room, for member of the right level. Search the place before posting.

There used to be the conservatory which was in mirc. Now you have to download the client go to #vampires and wahlah you are chatting with everyone.

As said a few posts back, the irc channel #vampires is also owned by Cancer, and several members of the site go there to chat.

It is located on the Undernet irc servers, which can be accessed with mIrc, or any other irc client. If you have any trouble getting there, read the help and faqs for mirc, then ask for help.
