I've never had any experiences with them, and I honestly couldn't say whether I believe they are out there or not. Its plausible, I suppose. What happened in this part of the universe is not so far-fetched to have happened twice.
If they do exist? I imagine the reason they would visit or abduct is much the same reason we visit the ocean and abduct fish, tag them, and throw them back. Science.
They could very well just want to learn more about us. I can guarantee if a scientist were to get their hands on an alien life form, that they would want to study it. So I imagine it would work both ways.
I've brought up this argument before in other forums elsewhere, and been met with "but if they have spaceships capable of interplanetary travel, they're already scientifically advanced!"
While true, you have to take into account the fact that they may only have mastered travel. Take us for example. The Germans are known for their mastery over engineering complex machines such as cars. The Japanese for their discipline. The Americans for their military prowess.
Each of our separate areas of the planet masters in something different, but is flawed in an area. It is possible that life forms alien to us may be the same way. They could have come from millions of lightyears away in the blink of an eye, but that doesn't mean they've evolved past sticks and stones as their weaponry, or beyond their numbers being "nothing, one, more than one."
Something to think on, though, definitely :)
There is other life outside our world and it would be foolish to believe we're the ONLY creatures in existence. We question things now because a lot of the visitations that we used to have were mainly seen by ancient civilizations. They all saw advanced beings, and built similar pyramids and so forth, all over the world. Even though they were all separated far apart, they still had the same building concepts FOR the Gods. Too many similarities that they are being questioned and recognized. You have things that can only be seen from the air, etc.
I have seen something hovering quietly over my place before in an oval shape & soft white light, right above the tree tops, moving very slowly. It wasn't a blimp. So to me, it's unidentifiable, but that doesn't mean it can't be and i'm not saying it was alien related but you never know. :D
Yes, I have seen a UFO when I was in Middle School (we called Jr. High then) My brother and I were playing ball on the patio and when I looked up toward the sky to catch the ball I saw a UFO in the distance going toward the direction of the ocean. It looked pretty much like typically described UFOs. We got excited and tried to run inside to get our parents forgetting they had gone to the grocery store. It had to have been really large because of the distance and how it appeared in the sky. It was metallic and the bottom of it spun around. It was hanging in midair in broad daylight and there was no sound either of us could hear. Suddenly it just shot away going very fast. My brother remembers it very well to this day as well. Now we get to aliens. Well I don't know if it was an alien aircraft because I do know the government has been experimenting with anti gravity and worm hole technology for awhile now. My first husband had high clearance and he told me he saw photos of some of the craft and this was a long time ago. He worked for a General and had high clearance. It is likely some of them are experimental aircraft that are classified.
I do believe people get abducted and I do believe there are aliens visiting but I don't necessarily believe that all of the aircraft are theirs as I stated above. I think they are doing research. I think some of them send androids rather than their own people because some have stated they have seen the grays with full sized human-like people. Some refer to them as Nordics. Could everyone be delusional, I doubt that.
I know that in Peru they see sightings all the time. I don't know if it is because the air is thinner there due to altitude or that it is farther away from populated areas. I'm also not sure if they might be those from the future or alternate universes or a combination thereof. All I do believe is they exist but where all of them are from, I don't know.
I believe the case that Fire in the Sky was portrayed from to most likely be the truth. They were all given lie detector tests and they saw something and one experienced abduction. If it was a hoax I think they would have been tripped up somewhere. Then Whitley Streiber who wrote about experiences that people now think were actually delusional visions. With the hodge podge of things that people say and do in regard to this topic, unless someone lands in a field and walks out in front of the world, no one will believe. Why would we be the only ones in all of the universe...doesn't make any sense.
My take is if I was a traveler, most likely a scientific expedition or looking for places to set up colonies. If I had monitored this place would I land get out and try to communicate with everyone? We are violent on this planet and I know I wouldn't trust people here. The governments may know and some say they do and have made agreements...that's the conspiracy end of things. I believe something is going on. Many are being tagged and tracked and there are things in ancient history that leads me to think that as well. Whether they are from outer space, time or alternate places, I don't know and have left myself open to further information if it ever comes to light.
I have not sighted any unidentified phenomena thus far. However, that does not make me write off any possible sightings in other parts of the world. Neither am I that arrogant to say that we are the only intelligent beings in this Universe. As Severus pointed out in another thread, though the chances of another Earth like ours existing is near impossible, it cant be affirmed without a doubt. I believe in Mind Abductions as opposed to physical abductions. I believe there are beings capable of controlling the minds of people and using them for experimental purposes. Why I say this is simple. Sometimes it is unbelievable that what Mankind has achieved should be credited to it, solely... Consciousness is an intangible phenomena. Anything intangible can also be 'hijacked' by malevolent forces.
Personally, I believe in life beyond our world, considering it is most definitely foolish to believe the one world theology that seems to be the fad for the last few centuries, there is a very large universe, and in the vast amount of planets out there there are a considerable amount that are habitable, at least by our species. And even still, we don't exactly know how big this universe really is, so all in all, it is theoretically improbable for humans to be the only species in this entire universe. Mind you the sightings of UFO's on this planet may or may not be actually from aliens, or they may be experimental aircraft that's never released to the public, that's always an uncertainty. I've seen somethings that are explainable, but I can't automatically say it's a UFO, too many factors to consider.
My initial opinion on aliens... In all honesty, yes I certainly believe they exist. Not in the way aliens are typically depicted as in Hollywood, etc... no little green guys with huge black eyes looking to anal probe us.
Anything "alien" is considered something foreign to an environment. Hell, I wouldn't be shocked if there were "aliens" that looked in appearance just like we do, only they may use far more of their brain than we currently do.
I believe anything is possible. As far as people being abducted. There are two groups. Attention seekers and legitimate cases. As with anything else.
I have no clue why they would be doing it. For all I know they could be observing us like an ant farm. As my husband stated above... yeah.. just ditto.. LOL
I can relate to much of what Sinastra said, and can verify her remarks re: Peru. I used to live in Peru and experienced first hand their easy familiarity with UFOs.
In early 1980 while living in a small mountain-jungle town in central Peru, I was up very late one night washing clothes on the flat roof of the two-story building in which I lived (my own fault for having procrastinated my laundry until I had nothing clean left for the next day!). As the village did not then have much in the way of electrical lighting, I was using two candles to see what I was doing, which was standard practice there.
As I washed my clothes in the big cement sink on the roof I suddenly became aware of a yellow light growing brighter and brighter behind me. Thinking it was one of my friends coming onto the roof with a candle, I turned... and instead saw a large, glowing, metallic saucer-shaped craft hovering 250-300 yards to the north of me and moving horizontally at only about 10-20 mph due east and only about 40 feet above the ground, about the same height that I was at atop the building. The UFO was approximately 150-200 feet in diameter and emanated a steady golden glow from the metallic craft itself and not from any lights on it. The metal of the ship appeared polished but not to a mirror finish, but instead had more of a burnished look to it. And... it did not make a sound! It was completely quiet.
As I watched, too astounded to utter a word, it continued to move in a straight line pretty much due east until it cleared the village and head at just above tree-top level at the same slow rate of speed, it's glow illuminating brightly everything around it. After it had proceeded over the jungle foliage and out of sight, the craft's golden glow could still be seen until eventually this too slowly faded away and the jungle was again evneloped in the clear black night as before. As slowly the night sounds of nocturnal insects, etc., returned, I suddenly realized that they, too, had noticed the presence of the craft and had gone as silent as had been its passage overhead.
The next day, I asked a few close Peruvian friends about UFOs in the area. Their reply was as immediate as it was matter-of-fact: "Oh sure... usually between 2 and 4 in the morning when they descend down from the west, then proceed at tree-top level east into the jungle. Around here, they are as common during those hours as shooting stars."
There is no way this craft, in 1980, could have behaved as this one did from then or current terrestrial technology.
I believe that they exist, without a doubt, due to an experience of my own. Since then I researched and researched.. People would be surprised how much they've got to do with world events
If Alien doesn't exist, then why is our government using so much money to find them? because they are out there. Most of the encounter, so far, are top secret, within the Government.
I refuse to believe that in the entire universe, we are the ONLY living planet. That's just crazy. There are millions upon millions of planets out there in different galaxies. Compared to the entire universe, we barely register as a speck of dust. I've never seen an alien but I've also never seen 3/4 of the animals on my own planet. We haven't even "discovered" half of them. We're still finding animals that were thought to be extinct for crying out loud.
Honestly, I think we're all just one big science experiment. They're altering the genes of those abducted so their offspring will carry on something new into the evolution process and once they make us "perfect" we'll be harvested for our organs. There you go. There's your rapture. When you think you'll be floating up to heaven, you're actually going to be eaten by creatures you didn't think existed.
IVE HAD SOMETHING STRANGE HAPPEN TO ME ONCE,I COULDNT SLEEP,AND WHEN I DECIDED TO,I WENT TO SLEEP AT 6:00 AM IN THE MORNING.IN THAT TINY PERIOD OF TIME,I HAD AN ENCOUNTER,I DONT REMEMBER MUCH,BUT I SAID TO THIS ENTITY,HOW WILL I KNOW THIS JUST HAPPENED.FIRST IT SAID WILL BE BACK FOR YOU WHEN THE TIME IS RIGHT,THEN IT SAID WHEN YOU WAKE UP THERE WILL BE PROOF OF THIS HAPPENING,I WOKE UP,AND WAS IN TOTAL SHOCK,IT WAS 6:OOAM ON THE NOSE,I RAN TO OTHER CLOCKS IN MY HOUSE,THE SAME.THERE WAS NO TIME LOST,WHERE WAS I AND WHAT HAPPENED TO ME.???
I believe aliens exist.
No, I have never been abducted .
I suspect that some on here were abducted and just as quickly returned.
