So if we find that all of the things that go bump in the night and howling at the moon are real would you be afraid? Would you be the first to introduce yourself? And if so to what kind? What would u do meeting a werewolf, vampire, zombie, ghost, fairy, merperson, etc

First I would find out what they were really like outside of folklore and fiction before I would attempt to introduce myself but I think I would be intrigued but cautious.

I agree with what you say. I don't know if I would be the first. Smile. I lean towards Werewolves or Vampires. It would be tricky I think with Vampires especially. You may have to meet with a mediator first and even then you might not survive. If there were Lycans among us, I would need to develop a relationship with the person during their human form. ive encountered a few ghosts and one vampire once and did not find them a frightening experiance expept once

First off,you don't really GET to meet them,
or anything for the First time. THEY meet you.
It's when they decided to come to you,not
the other way around.

But,once the introduce themselves ..I guess,
I would lower my head a tiny bit,smile just a
little,and say 'hello there.'

I would not seek them out or attempt to cross that boundary as I tend to stick to myself anyway.

If I met a fictional creature, I would as with meeting anyone, be cautious. Be respectful as if I were meeting any other person. Unless they had a 'god complex' in which they desired to be revered as a deity, I would most likely play along not knowing if they were able to harm me in any way. Placate their need for superiority until I am able to retreat and be rid of them.

If they were seeking to 'blend in' and NOT be treated any differently I would honestly treat them as I would any other that I know. In time, if they sought to reveal their special trait (whatever that may be) I would accept them as they are. These are the two reactions I would have.

So in other words your humans pretending to be something your not.

I would be cautious, but interested. I think I'd figure out what different creatures were like before I attempted to make any contact, but, assuming it was safe to do so, I would want to meet wereanimals. Particularly werecats, that's always been a really interesting idea to me.
