These experiences were sent to us by our youngest reader, reminding everyone that people of all ages have experiences they can’t explain.
My first experience:
I was only six when this happened. A story had been told to me about a little girl that followed my step mom home. The little girl had stayed there... at least till I started visiting my dad's house more often. I guess this "little girl" really wanted to play with another little girl and I guess that HAD to be me! At the time I lived with my mom, sister, and brother. My sister and I shared a bunk bed and room with my mom. Sometimes I couldn't stand sleeping on my top bunk so for a while, I slept in my mom’s bed. There was one night where I started thinking about my name (at that time I didn't accept my own name) and I just started saying it over and over again in my head, then something started to whisper it to me over and over, "Kailee, Kailee, Kailee.” The voice wouldn't stop! I thought I was hearing it in my head still, so I sang myself a song in my head, but I could still hear it. That’s when the weirdest thing started.
I felt something messing with my feet, as it if were tickling them. I got so freaked out I wrapped my feet tight in the sheets so it couldn't touch me and kept singing the song in my head. I didn’t stop hearing the voice until I finally fell asleep.
This same thing happened for a couple more nights, and then I got the scare of a lifetime. One night, I had a series of dreams that to me seemed like short clips from different movie. One I refer to as
"Jurassic Park". But it was the dream that ended my night in terror...or so I thought it was a dream.
I remember opening my eyes and I was still in the same room, same bed, everything was the same but one thing was different... there was a black silhouette of a person on my side of the bed when I opened my eyes. There were no actual features but shoulders, a rounded head and glowing (red/orange) eyes. They looked Shadow Peopledirectly into mine as I looked at it. I quickly turned over to try to wake up my mom but she wouldn't wake up (she sleeps so deeply it’s like she’s hibernating) even though I was trying to yell but my voice was so cracked and I was literally speechless, so I had almost no voice. As I looked back up it was stretching inhumanly over the bed as if it was a rubber band. I closed my eyes tightly and just wished for it to go away. I woke up the next morning with the sun shining beautifully through the large window behind me. I sat up quickly, scanned the room, checking my closet and under my bed to make sure this thing was gone. I automatically assumed it was a monster. I told my mom about what had happened but all she told me was that it was just a dream. I truly believed her. I didn't understandwhat it was. All I knew was that it was the most horrifying nightmare I've ever had still to this day, until about a year ago when I talked to my step mom about it. She told me that more than likely, it wasn't a dream and that it definitely wasn't a little girl who wanted to play. I don't know how long it took to end the horrible nights I was having, but they did eventually stop.
Next (remembered) experience:
For a while, a couple years later, I would not be able to sleep. For some odd reason, something was flashing in the corner of my room at night. During this time, I was getting used to a new bed (a bunk
bed with no bottom bed). I would be playing my Gameboy or just playing with my stuffed animals, when all the sudden, something would repeatedly flash in the corner of my room. I got really scared so I
started crying for my dad every time and all he would say is, "It’s probably cars going by. You need to go to sleep. It’s probably nothing.” But I knew it wasn't. It was like the flash on a camera. It would happen almost every night and when I would get someone to come into the room and stay to see, it would stop. This went on for a long time. At least until I finally faced my fears. The last time it happened, I was fed up with this happening and wanted it to stop. When I had talked to my step mom once, she said that you can tell it stop, or ask it what it wants. So one night, it started. I was extremely terrified as any kid would be. I was even more scared because for a while, it had stopped so I thought it was gone but it came back after a long time. It terrified me because I knew that this thing was still around.
One night, I saw up from my bed and I looked directly at the corner of my room as the flash kept progressing. Then I said firmly, "I'm not afraid of you anymore. You can stop now. I’m no longer afraid. Please stop." I repeated this once more and it then immediately stopped. The flash in the corner of my room has not happened since then. I recommend trying this if you or someone you know is having trouble with a spirit, the first thing you could do is ask it to leave you alone, and if that doesn't work, ask it what it wants, and if you don’t get a response, you should go to someone for help.
