I have discussed this at length and found only one suitable theory which comes close to this.

It would be considered theoretically possible to adjust a persons 'subtle' form, if the one undertaking the act were of sufficient ability- in knowledge and energetic 'power', following a (un)known ritualistic process.

Of course, why any being with the capability to do this would choose your friend, is anyones guess.

Hehe, they don't call you "Stabb" for nothing. I have always felt that this is nothing more than a normal human feeling/power/state. With how strong a vampire is, it must take a strong being to harbor this. Therefore, the strength of a human can also block this out. It is inside, and it is up to them to bring it out.

A bite can't change what you are, just awaken you to what you always were. Without that spark inside, no amount of vampiric contact will make him one.

Is this another way of saying that we all have the potential and that a piercing event, as much psychologically as energetically, could create a state of mind which would allow a vampyre being to evolve, from a standard human pattern?

You received the gist just fine. However, I hardly think it is an event that would cause this change or awareness. Just a subconscious choice to accept it. One would not even know the choice has been made, they just live their life in a manner that is comfortable for them.

Given how strong, or weak, an arbitrary state of being is can often be transmuted into nearly any other method. However, in most cases, the line between fantasy and reality are often confused.

Can you deny that a persons fantasy becomes their reality? Idbeholda, discribe your reality, right now. Oh lord, we would be here for days, right? Like it or not, we are living in a world of innumerable perceptions of reality. Nothing is real, yet everything is possible. The human mind controls fantasy and reality, so this must be where vampirism is born. It is not in the blood or ether. To return to the origional post, train your friend to fight off his current reality and fantasize about what he wants.
