Who here is into doing EVP's and does anyoine know really good places in the NY metro area for doing EVP's
electronic voice phenomeon..sorry I can't spell. HAHA...
Infact, I live in upstate New York. You could probably try some of the old landmarks..haha
my group loves to do recordings and we have some really good ones
Really? I've never really heard one but I would love to. HAHA. Don't really get much action over in this area. :(
I know that..haha..I am kind of challenged...I am half deaf in one ear :(
My Aunt and I tried something like that we stuck a tape recorder out side of our house and left it there all night now we used to live in BFE so couldnt imagin the sounds we heard people talking like whispering and stuff come to find out we used to live on some kind of trail cuz spirts move with the seasons or thats what my culture believes anyway
dont know anything about NY sorry,go further north and i can help lol
I would try the old railway station, the older part of grand central. Also the ball park. Even the old mafia hangouts. Just as bad as Chi-town.
a lot of evp's are usually misinterpreted, so it is hard to determin if they are true or fake evp's, and usually the best places to go is to cemetarys, and places where people have died...
i have a question on EVP'S . can you use a regular recorder ? if not where and how can i get one?
u can use a regular recorder try getting one that is voice activated
as far as being misinterpreted that is why u need to listen cosely
wow I never heard one would love to u get info on it let me know please im in pa close to nyc so will travel!!!
thanks for the info. i own a home that is very active. we have caught thing on cam. but we always want more proof.
evp are cool...many people question them, but at this point, with so many recording..how can they be questioned?
central park, over by the lake where the rock are...great alot of murders in that area...333
Try at Danza's Restaurant in Brooklyn, it was once Tali's Restaurant and Lounge, headquarters of Salvatore Gravano aka Sammy the Bull. The present owner says there is alot of activity there.
DarkFallenAngelOfSinJas in PA u have eastern state pen the old prison. My high priestest is trying to plan a trip there for our group. She was there once before but did not do any EVP's.
My group does do alot of EVP's and it is really cool to listen to
I do a lot of EVPs in cemeteries, old houses, old buildings, places were a number of people of died. And, don't get discouraged, you may listen to a whole tape and hear nothing or maybe 1 thing and another time it may have a dozen things on it. Just remember they can be quiet as a mouse so you have to press the recorder all the way to your ear and sometimes they may blast your eardrum!
Sorry I don't know any places in NY! But I would think you would have a landfill of places to go there. Good luck!
While I can give any tips on places in NY/NYC, being in DE and PA, Yeah, I love doing research with a group of regular friends...and we have gone all over the middle eastern seaboard.
I used a voice activated recorder with an external mic, the best option when useing a non digital...when you do ghost 'hunts', it's best to use every type available to you....digital, and non, 35mm cams and digi cams, and the various handhelds that record electronic and such.
I have had some VERY clear EVP's in Gettysburg, Virginia near Stephens City, and Eagles's Mere, PA..
When retrieving them, you should keep in mind using computer filtering programs helps get rid of background noise, and that responses are so low-key on the audible levels sometimes you need a program to just hear them at all.
