Hellooo freinds, strangers and societal dangers. I think it's time we discuss that all to sensative question. How do the various denazins of the night, that congragate here, go about getting their sanguis vitae. Im partial to a a few lightly seared steaks a couple times a month but every now and then ill treat myself to some fresh venison.
Phantasmic, you'd be surprised just how many people do actual practice drinking blood. I find it interesting that you'd denounce it altogether on a site that very clearly caters to a community of people who practice both energetic and sanguine vampyrism.
Most vampyric communities teach that the very first thing you do before embarking on blood drinking or any kind of blood play if you're in a kink zone that STD/STI and other medical tests are done first. So, while risky, it's not a bloody free-for-all.
To answer the original post's question...
I source my sanguine feeds from my partner. It's always been partners that I've had as donors over the years. I happen to look the part of the vampire in real life so my weird goth kid boyfriends have been plenty keen to donate their blood to me :)
Unfortunately the liquid that comes from things like rare steaks isn't actually blood, but it can provide a nice sensory effect nonetheless if that's your thing. Plenty of people have non-blood replacements for blood that don't really make sense to me but it works for them. So, why not?
It's almost like there's a whole vampyre community out there outside of this website or something. smfh.
Per the original posters question, I source my blood from my partner who is also my donor. He is all too happy to help me out a couple of times a month when I need it, and I cannot thank him enough.
On another note, it is OK to have opposing or differing views and opinions on a topic being discussed, instead of arguing about the differe4nces, agree to disagree and move on.
I prefer making my own but if I need more I get it by transfusion. In this day and age blood is a taboo, to many blood-borne diseases. Donors should be screened if you are going that route.
A fine question, indeed—the matter of sanguis vitae, the crimson thread that binds us to the old hunger.
For those of us who do not merely dance in the aesthetic of darkness but live it—who wear the hunger like a second skin—the methods vary, as do the depths of our... necessity.
Some find willing donors, those drawn to the exchange, to the thrill of surrendering something so vital. Ritual, consent, respect—these are paramount. Others, like yourself, partake through the blood of the hunt—be it beast or fowl—tasting vitality where it pulses raw and ancient. Venison, you say... there’s a wildness in that—close to the earth, primal, unspoiled.
Then, there are those of more... esoteric appetites. Psychic feeders, drawing on the life-force itself, unseen but potent, leaving behind an ache in the soul rather than the skin.
But always, always, the hunger whispers. Whether it's satisfied through warm chalices under candlelight or the low hum of energy drawn in silence... we all heed its call in our own way.
Tell me, do you savour the moment... or does the beast in you demand haste?
