I have heard legends about African tribes who are afraid of pictures because they believe a snap shop can steal there soul. I would have thought that was only there until I came across a family of people who believe exactly the same thing. They had a big blow out with the schools when they tried to take a picture of there daughter. Has anyone ever heard of this?

I heard it many time, several tribes and sub culture beleive in such thing, they are mainly kept in that state of mind by the society who exploit them,

Keeping the fear and the knowledge to a minimum permits to controle those sub culture creating many myth and falske beleif causing chaos and disorder

Sadly it is still a current situation, cultures beleving their soul can be take by a camera by a spell or a curse by a shaman or a warlock or witch.

And even when inform and teach if the truth sadly most sub cutlrue will remain in the dark since only a minority is allowing themselves to beleive int he truth.

I've heard about this quite a bit, I'm with Vampire on this one though, I think it's about control

i highly doubt that they can steal your soul....i mean it is a man made machine and if we had such a thing we would use it for war......
