I would like to make some suggestions but some of my ideas suck. The solution I think is to have a suggestion Thread section. We would all be able to tell each other that our suggestions are great ideas. That way we can see what kind of time you really have on your hands =>.
you mean like a place where ideas get voted on by us and then forwarded to cancer?
I think it is a good idea. And look, it's already implemented and paid off.
See, maybe some of your ideas don't suck. What else have you got?
Well, I plan on getting back to adding Database entries next week.

Please do not mistake my intent. I have enjoyed this site as of yet. I am not complaining about what is here or not as the case may be.

Here is a short list of suggestions.
User Levels requirements? What are they Where do I find them?
Site Map
How many times I have rated somthing.
How many times I have been rated.
In the profile creation menu I would have prefered a drop down location selection instead of the text field. This allows for location objects in the data base, aka search by location in the main profiles menu. This may become important later when the site grows and events start to take place.
Latitude and Longitude are a good idea but is there a tool one might find on this site to determine what that might be?
Dear Leomund, I am sure any suggestions you have will be considered by the Admins, but in the meantime may I suggest.. that most of your questions would be answered if you took time and really studied the site. For example, the latitude and longtitude on your screen indicates which part of the world you are logged in from. If you wish to change this there is a tool for it clearly shown on your screen. Its a brilliant, user friendly site .. your profile also shows how many times it has been viewed etc.. I wish you well and welcome to Vampire Rave - Emaerald :)
Thank you for letting me know about my obvious mistake. I actually miss alot of things I should pay more attention to.
I apologize.
Please be patient as I do make an a** out of myself from time to time.
My Latitude is 47 Degrees 36 minutes.
My Longitude is 122 Degrees 20 minutes.
I could not find it... " If you wish to change this there is a tool for it clearly shown on your screen."
The refered link was... well try this one http://www.nisbett.com/sunrise-set/.
Sure I could change it... that was not the suggestion.
If you edit your personal profile, there is a section for longitude and latitude entries. If you're really lazy, just click the Change your location link in the Sun box. The format must be decimal (The site I have linked to is in decimal format - http://www.calle.com/world/).
If you are logged in you will never see that link. Log out, look in the Sun box, click find for your location, then click here. I should probably fix that.
A site map is planned. Along with site search.
If you set your longitude and latitude, the Sun box in the lower left column will show when the sun will rise and set for your specified location.
As for the user levels, I have not specified how users ascend by design. I wanted to avoid people performing actions on the site purely to advance. I can assure you however, I have developed an accurate algorithm that monitors how much time you spend here. That is then measured against the status scale.
You can only rate an item once.
As Emaerald pointed out, at the bottom of all profiles (and Vampire Database entries) the system gives a rating, how many times rated, along with how many times viewed.
If there was a way to search for profiles you havent rated yet, as they can be listed by highest and lowest rank, that would be really handy. Although not easy i imagine....just a thought.
It would be great if we could respond to peoples comments on our profiles. I realize that it could become a cat fight sometimes but I dont believe it would be a huge problem.
That's an idea Starlite, but what I do is to delay voting for a profile, until after any comment or vote they may wish to make on mines. I think it could be unhealthy for the site, to return sentiments on comments left if there were negative.. but there again many do enjoy angst as it gives them a thrill. *hugsa sisterah*
Pammy dear,
I think you misunderstood me. What I meant is that I often see people ask a question in their comment on a persons profile. I think that the owner of that profile should be able to comment or answer that comment back. Hopefully that clarifies that a bit more.
Sure does Starry, you just quoted ..comments, in your last post, and I was unaware you meant other users questions. I can't read minds ;) But working on it! I think it would be a good suggestion to be able to change the comment you made on another person, 'tho...
