I am quite interested in hearing some of the people on this site's opinoins on vampires. I truly would love to hear some other voices other than that of my small circle of friends. So I would love if everyone put in their 2 cents on this one.
Do you believe there is such a place as the Talamasca around. I know there is the Vampire Research Center but what do you think that poses to the vampire community?
What are some commonly mispercieved traits of a vampire?
What do you think are some stongly supported characteristics of a vampire.
What are some things you've noticed about religion and vampires. Shunned or not...hidden or ...
Anyways I would just like best educated answers since some people probably are like "I've never even really had an encounter or I personally know nothing"
Also if you want to cover things I have not feel free!

I don't know if vampires are truely real..I hope and prey they are because they are an aspect of my life..they are my favorite creatures ever..People get traits to make people believe in vampires but most ppl don't believe at all...i think you have to have imagination to believe in vampires and what not...so if you believe in vampires rock on, if you don't thats kewl too..its all up to you and what goes on in your head..
Hello, love!!
I don't have a direct answer to your question, but thank you for reminding us that we are here to exchange about vampires.
I've grown tired of reading thread, after thread, after poem, and profile about depression, "666", death, suicide, hatred, etc.
*knocks fist on head* Vampires do not equal those things.
Aaah, thanks for the vent.
XOXO
my opion.....i think they are omnipotent in there own way.

...i am of the mind to think that what is now considered by the "mainstream" society to be "myth" or "lore" has it's origins steeped in fact; that vampires (and fae folk, leprachauns, dragons, trolls, etc.) were real at one time and possibly could be real now, in another place, time or reality.
...i also believe that some maladies such as blood and behavioral disorders, diseases (lycanthropy) and the like also have a basis in fact from down thru the ages and years. to dismiss vampures and such a pure fantasy may have been our forfather's way of putting their heads in the sand where such seriousness is concerned.
...that's what i think anyways, %^)
great question..............
hmmmmm i have an extremely vivid imagination and like to believe that vamps exisit in this day and age perhaps not as television would portray them to be but exist none the less,,,,,,,, people have the same questions about aliens seems to be most people have to have seen to believe but the reality is some things are existant that we can never be whitness to,,,,,, if we exist ,why not vamps or aliens or even the boogyman for that matter lol,,,,,,all i have to say is if indeed vamps do exist in these modern times i hope for their sakes they remain underground u only have to think of the ottrocities of the spanish inquisition where people were thrown to water if they sank they were witches if they floated they were also witches,
pregnant women hung upside down with alcohol poured on them and set alight, any mony more attrocious happenings all caused by a lack of knowledge and fear......im gonna check this post reguarly to also see what others opinions are u got me thinking now gal .......................;)
btw,,,,, u berry berry pretty ;)
I would say my opinion on the matter is that it is more of a lifestyle choice... and the personal decision of whether 'myth' has been reality or whther indeed it still is... I think ambiguity is one of the things that makes a particular aspect of life so fascinating.
I dont know if that was any help x
this should be a fun thread to see how it goes along with different additions from those that wander upon it-
I will add just a little something from a book I have that will sum up how I trust my true feelings on the subject are best described -
here goes
Just a moment , ladies and Gentlaman!
Just a word before you go!
We hope the memories of Dracula won't give you bad dreams , so just a word of reassurance. When you get home tonight, and the lights have been turned out, and you are afraid to look behind the curtians , and you dread to see a face appear at the window ... why just pull yourself together and remember that afterall - THERE ARE SUCH THINGS !
words from the role of the great vampire hunter Abraham Van Helsing ....
