Many people believe different things about dreams and waht they are....what do you think?

Dreams... i love my dreams

I can't wait to go to sleep during the day, its my favorite part. My own little world where everybody i know acts so different and i do as well and it is my own little world that is almost perfect. Except for the rare nightmares. I wish real life was like my dreams then i would like most of my day. But i think dreams are what you want the most, what you wish things were like.

I write my dreams down and consult literary sources and repetitive themes to decipher my alternate reality.

hmmm dreams...I love to dream. That is the best part of the night..well except having a great romp with my husband--but aside from that dreams are great. I also love when I have an OBE when I am asleep- thats the best ever. I pay close attention to my dreams. Some of my dreams come true, some relate to my daily life- giving me answers to issues in my daily life. This is a deep topic for me so I will not go on and on about them....Great topic..

I have a funny true story. When I was a child, I told my friend that I was in her house last night after I went to sleep. She had gotten a barbie for her birthday and wanted me to go to her house and tell me what kind of barbie it was and where she hid it. I went to sleep that night, went to her house and on top of her fridge it was a Pink & Pretty Barbie (yes I'm dating myself right now.) I took her shoe off, put her back and went back to my house, and back to 'sleep.'

The next morning I went to her house, (awake) told her where and what her Barbie was. She turned slightly pale, but flipped out even more when I playfully produced her missing shoe. First she accused me of breaking into her house ((that was alarmed at night)) and then when she couldn't 'handle' it anymore she stopped being my friend.

*sigh. Have to be careful who I tell what from that point on in my life.

I hate my dreams, I've cried many times waking up because I thought it was reality , then I wake up to the nightmare.

I have had some crazy dreams, then I've had some dreams that have been right on in the future. I also have a dream dictionary. I think its nifty to check out what some of the things mean that I dream.

dreams are a doorway into a different reality state.....I feel that our sleeping hours here are simply our waking hours
elsewhere.....where I do not know....but somewhere

Well to me my dreams are a mental workout gym of the mind (try sayin that if your wasted ;-) what i mean is my imagination is vivid and wild all day and at night they run rampant and I mean they would make a mass stampede look like an organised well excuted event lol but at the same time it sieves through the events of my day and honestly does try to filter out the bad stuff so when i wake up I feel kinda refreshed (Or I need to just stop drinking coffee b4 i go to bed :-)

I have a scientific magazine about dreams somewhere.
It says how scientists still don't know what sleep/dreams are for.
One theory is that when we sleep, our brain 'defrags' itself, and then when we dream, our brain is just tesitng the changes it has made, then it goes back and 'defrags' again...

That actually sounds quite feasible maybe nightmares are a mental virus in a way (sticking with the computer/brain thieme here) or they could be errant "programs that mutate due to outside factors (stress,worry,fear e.t.c)

Dreams i think is a window to your souls most desires....mostly its your body telling you what it wants in so many actions but you are the one to figure it out if you choose...

sometimes it's hard for me to tell my dreams apart from my reality...you know like how you are not supposed to feel pain in your dreams?...Sometimes i feel pain in my dreams...which makes me question if i am actually sleeping...or living another life....

About feeling pain.....I would say yes you definately could cause I have for quite a few of my adventures. I've been bitten by three vampiresses at once, one on both sides of my neck and one on the wrist, I felt the fangs rub against my collar bone! I screamed and fainted from pain! The others on other occasions I'd wake up soar for days.

i'm so bland. I hardly ever remember my dreams.

bland...you.....naw...i'd never believe it...
I never remember them either...but it's not from being bland....just your a bit out of touch with your subconscious is all...the synapses aren't firing close to memory.....but you definately have not seemed bland in our conversations

It has alot to do with your state of mind, what you dream and how well you remember them. for example, when i'm at peace with myself and things are going fine (which happens one in a eclipse) then i have most vivid dreams, which i remember. I also have had a recurring dream, which occured about 4 times last year, i was being hunted, by a male, who's intent was crystal clear, to end my life. But at the same time this dream, came about due to events in my life, where i tried to end my exisitance on this earth. Now, i am very rarely at peace, can hardly sleep to well and when i do, i sleep for 12+ hrs at a time, it has been ages since i remembered a dream. So i believe in what you dream, is what your current state of mind is. And i know for sure, most people tend to remember the 'bad' dreams more than the 'good'..

well as of recently i believe that dreams are a way to send messages that you otherwise wouldn't hear. you are sleeping therefore your mind is wide open for new things.

i'm not too sure about all the other times. most of the time i wake up muttering something like 'wtf'???

I think that dreams not allways mean something, that there somethings warnings sometimes desires but also sometimes like a perfect world
