Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) is the process through which the dead communicate with the living through household recording devices. These extraordinary recordings-captured by people all over the world, in their homes, with a simple tape or video recorder-seem to confirm what many of us have dared to believe: it is possible for the dead to communicate with us.

This is one thing I haven't tried yet. I have always wanted to try it. I I have captured the unexplainable in pictures, and heard things when I have been on haunted visits. The last one I was on... a place called Ada, there were 6 people towards the end of the trail ( this is in the woods) We all heard a women screaming GET OUT... mind you there is back about 4 miles no houses around.. no one else back in the woods but us. THis is one time I could have just kicked myself for not bringin a tape recorder!

Remember kids when trying this fun outing, never! use a digital recorder, I thought once I got some bad ass recordings of a chick yelling then I realized it was a women on her cellphone bitching at her old man to get some gas for the lownmower!LOL digi's pick up cell lines. O and bring extra battery's cause the theory is on magnetizim area's, sometimes the entity or whatever is present suck the juice out of your bunny's. Another good idea is to go to your local radio shack and pick up a volt meter, or laser temp gun, when the volts are speratic or the temps pullin cold shut off the Vox and blast that mike. Another thing that's agrivating is the wind. You can get a microphone with damp foam that comes in real handy for the simple GE mini recorder.

hello..i never heard about evp until i watched the wicked movie white noise. i loved it. i always knew that there was a way for the living and dead to communicate with one another and this proved my point...me and my friend have dipped our fingers into evp, but we haven't had any serious expierements going on. yes..it is real...very real. i absolutely love it and plan to keep up my research about evp!

If ya really want to spice it up you can load your 35 or larger format with Infa-red film. It's no easy feat, but it beats the shit out of trying to identify the maybe orb or reflection on your 4 by 6 print. Camcorder's are nifty I hear if they got the night shot built in, it's infrared. And you can always go with night vision. I saw a pair of night owls, kinda cheap shit but if ya are a weekend ghost hunter throwin 180 for a monocular is not that bad. Second time russian grade NV's are easy to come upon to.

From what I understand, that means don't quote me, anything above our spectrum of sight we can start to see the trails of spirits. I know infa=red film works for certain. I used NV monoculars once and saw outlines of forms, yes I was sober no I do not know if my eye's were playing tricks with me. With magnitizm though you can't go wrong. Even in the mid 1800's Necromancers used magnetic charged sphere's in the prosses of speaking with the dead. I'm not shur though how night vision picks up forms of spirits maybe through temperature. I'm shur Cancer will read this and correct me.

I have heard this really works just be prepaired to listen to what it says..

i've personally captured an EVP (and tons of orb pictures!). i was at a house that was haunted, and taking pictures, documenting, etc., while it was being cleaned. i placed a tape recorder upstairs and just hit record, while we were all downstairs and outside. i listened to the whole tape, and found little but the roaring noise of silence.....except in one part.....there was a deep, gutteral voice, speaking on the tape. gives everyone chills. it rocked! haha...cant find that tape now. another time i was going to try again, and the recorder burnt up suddenly at a different house. was very odd, and the player wasnt in bad shape. i know something was going on. we used the ouija that night and got some very accurate results, in a small room in the attic area. i have a friend that has built a machine, that makes sentences when the ghosts/spirits/energy hits different musical notes. together these notes form the sentences. he has sent a few to me, its quite impressive. but i love that stuff, so...
