I came here, or well placed this post because I need some advice. I've been having a returning and I don't know what it means. I asked some people before but they give me different answers so many you can help me out.
I dream about snakes every night but all in different roles, sometimes they're dangerous to me but most of the time they aren't. Last night was the weirdst untill now, I dreamed that I drank the snake's blood. Does anyone knows what this means?
umm buy a snake? i dunno lol snake blood tastes bad.. dont ask how i know ::makes sickening noises::
It Means you have or have had a phobia of snakes at some point in your life, might of been bitten by oone at some stage in your life. The drinknig of the snakes blood will be a cobination of you loving the fantasy about drinking blood (vampires) and the urge to kill the snake... (or on a religious twist itcould be to do with the Adam and Eve scene and you might be tempted by something which you know it bad for you)
pffft or it could mean :: SHE NEEDS TO BUY A DAMN SNAKE:: lol
i'm no dream interpreter but aren't snakes a symbol of cowardice amd generally stealthy evil actions?
maybe you dream of snakes to symbolise that there is something in your life that you don't know is there. drinking the blood could've meant you're close to getting rid of the problem...
maybe?
I don't recall being bit by a snake, or is has to be in my early years. And about the phobia I don't have any well I was afraid of snakes at first but I thought it passed :: frowns :: but interesting theory :: smiles::
and to you myintelligenceisabsent I don't even want to know how you know
:: looks up at her sentence and is confused too many knows can't handle the pressure ahhhhh goes and faint::
yes you could be right but I been having the snake dreams for like a couple of months now and the snake was there sooner then the problem.
if you tell me to buy a damn snake then I will get one you're happy now!!! :: I suck at pretending to be angry :: lol :)
This will bring you around:
Snakes are symbolic of different things. Snakes are often seen as symbols of life, death and rebirth. In North American native tribes, the shedding of the snake's skin is associated with life and a new beginning.
In writing about Snake Symbolism, Gillian Holloway, Ph.D. wrote, "People who are dying or who have lost a loved one often dream of snakes, at or near the time of death. For whatever reason, these dreams seem involved with the psychic awareness of the transition from this life to the next...."
Carl Jung talks about a similar connection between earth and heaven in his discussion on the snake as a symbol for medicine. In Man and His Symbols, he writes, "perhaps the commonest dream symbol of transcendence is the snake, as represented by the therapeutic symbol of the Roman god of medicine Aeseulapius, which has survived to modern times as a sign of the medical profession. This was originally a nonpoisonous tree snake; as we see it, coiled around the staff of the healing god, it seems to embody a kind of mediation between earth and heaven."
Snakes are also seen as symbols representing evil. The bible uses the symbol of the serpent in the Garden of Eden to represent Satan. In other cases the snakes is seen as a phallic symbol.
Recurring dreams indicate a fear or an unresolved issue. One way to deal with the recurring dream of the snakes is to try lucid dreaming. This is when you become conscious in your dream and are aware that you are dreaming. If you are able to do this, then ask the snakes what it is they want and why you keep dreaming about them? If the snakes are hostile and you are afraid in the dream then face the snakes and master the situation in some way. Seeing the dream through to the end is important in overcoming it.
You will have to look at your dream in its entire context and determine how you felt about the snakes in the dream. You should also look at the other associations in the dream.
that's my point. maybe you're sub-concious saw it coming and tried to warn you in a very unorthodox way... ok NOW i'm grabbing at random straws...
well the brain is a strange thing. I had my very first vampire dream last night... and i recall having two other dreams about vampires that i can't remember. I only joined this site on monday.
The littlest thing can change your dreams. and some of them aren't even related at all.
It could be ANYTHING
Last year, i had several recurring dreams, of being chased by a lunatic with a knive that kept cutting and slicing me and then was trying to run me over in a car. I was self harming at the time and needing stiches. And after the dreams stopped, i was involed in a very scary car accident, that i should of died in (walked away from it, hardly hurt, the car was a right off, 90 mph over a humped back bridge, i was in the back, no seat belt on, i should of gone straight through the windshield, to this day, i do noty know why i never) So thats why i was dreaming this, alot of the times recurring dreams are to do with your presant state in life/mind. And maybe a glimpse into the future.
thank you for all the information i really apriciate it ::smiles::
all of this dream talk made me think, I also often have dreams and in that dream I know I dreamed it before, but I could not remember it from my consious memory and knowing this dream I can change the whole scenery. Strange I think.
Amalia, are you married or in a serious relationship? A woman who dreams of snakes almost always represents infidelity...
AH! i know this!! lets see.. snakes.. snakkkkkes.. they represent.. Wisdom.. Goddess Interactions, um.. the Energy flow (also sacred to the Indian Goddess Kundalini) but mainly i think its wisdom in your case..
As to why you were drinking Snakes Blood, i need to think more on what that may mean. Feel free to message me. In fact, message me today at Noon Western Coastal time. I should have an answer for you then :)
Possibly I think too what could go along with Cancer's question, you are single now ... but in the past or a past relation was there any kind of infidelity on y'r part, possibly even in your thoughts. Maybe not intentionally, but still there... if so it could be lingering in y'r mind as a regret, therefore causing you to have a recurring dream like this....
I'm a bit reluctant to post about my dream considering I hardly ever remember my dreams. I guess I'm scared to know what is really going on in my mind. Either way, here it goes:
In my dream, I decided to go to hang out with a friend at one of her friend's house. Upon my arrival, I realize that her "friend's house" happens to be my ex boyfriends house. My stomach started jumping and I did not want to go inside. after much persuasion on her behalf, I went inside. I walking in the door and there he was with a goddess-like woman hanging off of him. I held my composure only so that I wouldn't break down in front of all those strangers. I guess the night progressed as we got more and more intoxicated. Next thing I know, we are all in his room. four people were on his bed including him and the "goddess." I was on the floor with my friend--staring at him profusely. He gave me the occasional glance but would quickly turn away. I finally got the nerve to ask him Why he left me. his response? " I was repulsed by you. I never loved you. IT was all a lie "After those heart crushing words, I quickly stumbled out of his room.
I was awaken from this dream by my phone ringing. I don't know how it would have ended under any other circumstance. Him and I had an unnerving break up a month and a half ago. Until this day, I don't know why it all just ended so abruptly.
It's quite possible that you've had this dream do to the questions as the "Why did we break up?" being on y'r sub-concious. That if y'r questioning the why it happened that you feel it is unresolved. And the beginning of going to the friends house and it being his, is the underlying fear of seeing him again, and him being with someone else. If you still have strong feelings for him it will be difficult if that chance meeting happens, and you fear how you will handle it. The only advise or suggestion I can offer for you, (and this is my oppinion) is that if it's still weighing heavily on y'r mind all the questions as too why? Maybe if you feel enough time has passed, maybe you can call him or email him (althought a little less personable) and asking him to explain his side of why the break up. I t may help you to be able to move on in y'r life alot sooner, as any kind of break up is hard....
thank you Dami, for your input. I did get the nerve to text him a few days ago ( i knew he wouldnt pick up any of my calls). I never received a response. I also sent him an instant message online and again, no response. Last week I went to his house to return him his cell phone charger. When I saw him, my heart stopped. All we said to eachother was "hi". He got his stuff and that was it. He is the type of person that won't express his feelings or give any one any reasoning for his actions. I have decided to move on without knowing what really happened. It is a lost cause. I'm just really bothered by the dream because I never remember them. I woke up trembling and very disgruntled. I was doing fine about the entire situation before this. I guess I'm going backt to step one.
have u ever seen the indiana jones movie?
you know the huge rock ball that follows him?
well i always have the dream that the big rock is following me, i feel the texture of the ball is rough and im running on a smooooth trail that i have to run carefully if not ill slip and be crushed....but then i run out of trail and i fall into a bottomless pit...then i wake up all scared and my heart is racing, and then when i go back to sleep, i dream im fallling still and a beautiful dragon comes and takes me away and i see the light, then i see thunder against the clouds and then from above i see it raining on my house and i see my self sneaking my ex into my house trying not to wake up my parents and then my dad comes out and i introduce them and tell him we're getting married....
this dream has happened three times....its weird...
I run a long time in a forest then i see a amusement park, with all these little wooden houses, first there's a very little house they all stand in a circle, they grow when i go further. first i go in the very little house and then i see myself jumb, and then there a flash where everything turns black and when i go further in the circle the flashes last langer and at the end everything is dark and i hear a gunshot, and then i wake up. The houses are in a sand box and there's a river somewhere 'cause i can hear water flowing. the only thing that chances is when i come out of the forest is the road that i take.
I will say this for now your dream has nothing to do with snakes-they represent something -ill get back with on the rest.
If you ever catch Starlite online, grab her !as she is fabulous at explaining dreams. She has a gift :)
In its psychological interpretation a snake in your dream is a phallic symbol, and to dream of one, especially if it was coiled around you, or otherwise on your body, is a warning that you may be a slave to either your sexual passions or repression. However, according to the oracles, snakes in a dream are warnings of various troubles, obstacles, or treachery. Of course the colors and other details must be carefully considered, but as a general rule: to dream that you were bitten by one portends a period of struggle against unfortunate circumstances, and if it was a cobra, it carries a special warning to guard against accidents in the following few weeks. If your dream featured a snake wound around you which you could not throw off, you are being warned to expect treachery where you least suspect it. To dream of being surrounded and unable to kill more than one or two indicates that you are in danger of being seriously cheated by someone you trust, but if you managed to kill (or get rid of) them all, it is a sign that you will succeed in spite of any hostile opposition; to walk over snakes without trying to kill them suggests that you will, in the end, actually turn the tables on those who are trying to block your way. To dream of playfully handling snakes suggests that you are in danger of being led astray by unprincipled friends or associates; and if your dream featured a professional snake charmer at work, it indicates that you will have to defend your reputation against malicious gossip.
I have repatitous dreams, but it's because I think of my dreams that I want to have before I sleep. What drives me crazy is when I have a nighmare and wake up then go back to sleep having the same nightmare again! I finally have to wake up and have a smokey treat or small walk to insure I do not go back to the dream. Can you relate anybody?
I think soemtimes you have to face your dreams head-on, in my experience that is sometimes the best way to stop a reoccuring one.
I used to have a dream about a eyar ago that I wake up abruptely, and se emy wardrobe door slowly open. A man steps out, he is tall and bald (no its not Cancer *giggles*) and he has totally black eyes, more like hollows where they should be. He smiles and waves at me and goes back in the wardrobe. Suddenly I knwo that if I go back to sleep he is going to come out and get me with an axe that for some reason I think he has. Then I wake up, thinking I have gone to sleep and start screaming.
The only way I could cope with this is, every time I had the dream I would MAKE myself go and opent hat wardrobe, and prove there was nothing there. Id make myself sleep facing the wardrobe, it was like some sort fo challenge between me and the man!
The more competitive I got with my fears the more I did with my life, and I think I unknotted a lot of hidden insecurities and, when the man finally left, so did some of the worser parts of me.
So, in a way, I guess I owe him one.
I have a couple reacurring dreams, tho I know what they mean. Most of the time I can alter them. With certian people I have these weird connections and I can feel them, hear them, and see parts of the future.
One of the things that reaccuring dreams are to let you know something, to let you know you can change it if you can figure it out.
it could mean a couple different thing i think. it could mean you are scared of snakes or it could mean you want to try snakes blood but i really dont no
Thanks, Devilman.
I think one of the best thinsg to do is write your dreams down. Keep a notepad near your bed and when you wake up scribble and draw. I do it sometimes when Ive had a really odd or influential dream, and try to find out what I am trying to tell myself... because thats what dreams are to me, secret messages from me to me ;-)
Im dreaming of spiders right now, both huge ones. So I guess we are in the same boat hunny *echo looks peturbed because she's terrified of spiders*
