Lilith and Cain
From the Jewish/Hebrew texts, Lilith was the first wife of Adam; both were created by God as equals. Adam was very dominant and during lovemaking he always wanted to be on top which Lilith didn't like. One day, Lilith had had enough and she muttered God's name and fled the Garden of Eden to the shores of the Red Sea, where she copulated with lots of demons.
God sent 3 of his archangels to summon Lilith back to Eden but she refused and struck a deal with the archangels that she would not kill any children that bared the mark of the archangels above their heads.
Punishment for not returning to Eden was the murdering of 100 of her offspring on a daily basis. In retaliation, Lilith murdered human babies, usually boys younger than 8 days old and girls younger than 20 days old.
In order for Lilith to have enough children, she would steal the sperm from young men while in their sleep thus being blamed for wet dreams. She is also blamed for SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome).
Cain, the first born son of Adam and Eve, killed Abel his brother in a jealous rage. He was banished from the Garden of Eden, bearing a mark from God and whoever should find him would kill him.
Cain found Lilith by the shores of the Red Sea where she took him in and showed him the powers of the blood. There they copulated and bore many demons and monsters.
Cain is mentioned in the bible unlike Lilith but not very often. The bible states that he had a number of legitimate children with an unnamed woman, which could be Lilith?
Please voice your opinions on this. Its just what i have read but lets see what else is around.
I have two goldfish called Caine and Lillith :-)
ANYWAY.
I think you have a good point, I have heard several difference to the story that you told, but Im sure there are more people on the site who are more versed on this than me (Elder Daniel perchance!)
What texts is this from? is there anywher i can see it or learn more about this.
Echo x
Yes well even according to the more modernized versions of old test there were other people
Adam and Eve had caine and Abel
Caine kills Abel in an act of true sacrifice
Caine goes home and sleeps with his wife
Hence other people
Not even going to mention the half humans and half demons / giants of the time.....
When there is a God man is supreme when a goddess equality
Mate or consort of goddess females rule
Be caine and lilith mated i know not
but i do know that in my opinion they didnt do such a good job if so.
If you believe in those stories, adam and eve had Seth, Caine and Abel. They seem to think that Seth is the one that talked caine into killing his own brother. I don't see the vampiricness of the story. I have seen this topic before only started a bit differently and i've done similar research about it. Even asked history channel to do a show about Lillith, and they wrote back saying that they would discuss it. *smiles* i hope they do. There are incantation bowls in museums that are said to ward off Lilith that date back many many years. I can't imagine an entire place called Eden with only a few people. I think that perhaps they did exist but i don't believe they were the beginning of humanity.
me thinks the god of ancient time either had MPD or there were more than one and the text just combined into one
This is absolutely great story and also the most interesting thing today§
Thanks for such information!
intresting tale, i read the whole thing. this would mean that demons walk the earth i suppose... thanks i enjoyed the story
yeah because according to that story it means that lilith left eden before "god" punished adam and eve, so she didnt have mortality as humans do, etc.
Can't say I've heard that version before, very informative. It's very possible that it happened that way, then again most stories have been exaggerated after being told so many times. But you never know.......
can't say this is new to me but yeah very interesting story...
Thanks for the new info! I really loathe it, that we only have rewritten bibles in our country. Cut-out of the good parts like your story...
May I offer a lil side note of Lilith?
First her mother was Nix, mother of night. Had anyone ever thought about the first human spirits? Adam was made the first human soul by God. It was Lilith who volunteered to become human form to help teach Adam about the world and she would learn from him about what it is to be human. The reason why she refused to be submissive to him is because one; it's said he lain with the animals as well as naming them and two; she never considered being human superior to the first spirits - angels. She was considered the first feminist, when in fact she was only acting as herself, as free spirit, nothing more.
It was also said that when she was banished by God, for basically 'please excuse the human, he knows not what he does' she went to her friend Lucifer. Remember he was considered the 'morning star' When God knew that he was harboring her, he too was banished, fallen with her. It was said that they were lovers for a time, so it makes sense why she would go to him needing friendship. This would explain why he started questioning Gods intentions with the humans.
These are a few things I remember from old research, and writing. I'll dig up the resources should anyone ask for them. This is just my own two cents. No you will not see this in whitewolf, as much as I enjoy the stories.
Yes this was a very interesting tale. I had never heard of Lilith in the Bibile(maybe because I only read Psalms and Revelations) but still.
Thanks also to you LadyLilian...U have added to the first tale another completing story!
that could be possible. im sure there is some hidden text in the bible. there always is.
It's funny because every culture has a beginning story, and they are all different. It's really about what you view is believeable. Lillith is just one of those stories but I'm sure as with all tales, there's only a bit of truth in them.
