...here's mine: i was working in one of the california missions. i had a clerical job there, plus worked very closely with the newly converted people in the parish. i was there one night late in the rectory, doing some of the ever needed copying and colating of papers. the priests were on retreat. it was a friday night, and the place was absolutely deserted...or so i thought.

...while copying, i had the colating set up in the conference room on the big table, to make the job easier. i had to walk from the copy room, around the corner, past a little bathroom, and then into the conference room. i did this repeatedly for well over an hour. the rythm gave me some time for thought and reflection. i find this kind of work rather soothing. my mind was at peace and into my simple duties of the evening.

...almost done with my chore, i was just passing by that little bathroom - whose door is always completely open and resting against the inner wall of the room - when *WHAM!!!* it SLAMMED so hard it vibrated the wall!!! i jumped clean out of my skin and almost had a freEkin' heart attack! i was staggered! needless to say, i was aprehensive about finishing my job, but being stubborn, i did, but with great haste!

...the next morning, i went into work and ran into a sister and over coffee related my experience to her. she smiled and waved offhandedly, " oh...that's old "so-and-so" - he's been walking and haunting this place for years!" the look on my face must have been hilarious - cuz she snickered at me.

...not long after that, i dod an internet search of haunted places...and sure unuff! there is was listed as one of the most haunted places in los angeles county!

A few years ago i worked in bar A customer asked me about our bed and breakfeast.I told them we dont have a bed and breakfeast.The customer said she had seen a lady walk upstairs in a bathrobe . I thought to myself this women is drinking to much . Well she was not the only customer who seen the same shit . over and over again the same shit I myself never seen shit but alot did . i hava a true ghst story.

We live in my dads grandparents house, we used to lived in an old apartment complex that was my moms parents till i was 2. when i was 3-4ish me and my dad were walking down the sidewalk during the afternoon. i turned to him and said "Whose that?" he asked me "Who are you talking about?" i said "There in the window. Whose that?" and i pointed to my bedroom window. he said "I dont se anyone there." so we went inside and i described the man to my dad. he took out a photobook and showed me a picture of his grandfather, Jacob, who my name was named after(Alexander Jacob). He asked me if this was who i saw and i sad yes. then he told me that this used to be his house and the window i saw him in was my bedroom, which was also my dads grandfathers window. he later told me that he was so eager to meet me when my mom was pregnant w/ me, but he died a week before i was born so he never got to see me. personally, i think he was there to check up on me and finally get to get a look at me.

i have seen him once more two years ago. i was sleeping and heard a noise and woke up. when i looked up he was standing at the foot of my bed, just staring at me, no noise no movement, just staring.i just sat there and looked back. after about 2 minutes, when i blinked he dissapeared.

i was sitting at my computer stand and the computer screen went dark and behind me i seen someone walk...this person look like my uncle that had died a year early....i screamed really lound and my sis came running and said nothing was in thereits was wired

My friend had all kinds of problems at her house... door locking... everything turning on at weird hours during the night... you could see your breath in some of the rooms even when the heater was on... and it felt like someone was staring at you non stop!

After 13 years of living there her fmaily moved out and her oldest brother went back to see what was in the attic (it was boarded up all 13 years and they were afraid to go in it) and it was covered in chains and sharp tools and bloodstains and it had blankets everywhere... when he turned to run out her stepped on the one thing my friend's mom couldn't find when they were packing... the family picture.

The picture and frame some how made it to the attic...

This story is sucky but true, my mate zoe died when she was 13, and me and my ex mate went to her grave, and i said i wanted proof ghosts exist and can hear us, so i said to the grave " if u are real come to katies (my ex mate) room 2nite at 10pm and knock over the photo of u. then we left, later that night we waited and 10pm came and went so we went 2 bed and at 10:45pm we haerd a bang, so i turned the light on and zoes pic was on the floor, and it couldnt of fell as no wonows were open and it was leaned against some books with things in front of it. it scraed me and prooved ghosts do exist and they are listning.

i am not sure if this is scarey or not but my husband and i were visiting his mom we were talking about his grandparents who had died years ago when all of a sudden a picture of them went flying off the cabinet onto the floor we thought at first it was someone walking that caused it but the pic was in the back of a bunch of other stuff and it was the only thing that went flying i believe ghosts exisit

Well, I have mentioned my Ouija board experience (how cliche did that sound) many times, and I used to experience problems sleeping when I was a child, because of the lgiths being messed aorund with in my room, and I always woke up with a jolt when they had been tampered with. It was just my mother and I then, and I know that she didn't touch them, and it didnt affect any other room or house on our road.

Oh...to narrow it down to one!

OK, here's 2 of the experiences that creeped me out most:

*Me and a g/f are in bed, her daughter in a crib near us. The baby could only say small words then, ala "mama", "bubba" and "juice". Suddenly, the baby sits up and says "mommy, there's someone in the room with us!". Seriously. I jump up and turn on the light, run to the crib and find a sound asleep baby. We already knew that house was haunted, but damn.

*And, just because Daermon and Mordes are both VR members, here is a story involving them. I may not tell it 100% accurately, as I was stoned a lot then...and now, but they can help me out with it...
Daermon and I are in Edmonton (1997), both a little creeped out by the evenings events. We approach the block that leads us home and decide to sit tight for a minute (probably so I can light a smoke or something). There is NO ONE in sight. The block is quiet, as it really only consists of our apartment row and a graveyard. Suddenly, we see a row of shadows that appear to be crossing our path....yet there are no people. We wait for the shadows to cross, then head home. The next day, Mordes called to inform us another Lethbridgeite had died suspiciously.

At my parents house nearly every room feels nice and cosy. The kitchen however is always chilly, and it feels detatched from the rest of the house.

One day i was washing up alone with my back towards the rest of the kitchen. I heard shuffling behind me, i turned and i could hear it shuffling toward me. i ignored it and carried on washing up only to get my ear heavily breathed on, i turned again and there was a huge bang against the washing machine, when i looked over to it, it was ever so slightly rocking. I ran out of that room and went back in with a rolled up newspaper (because that would OBVIOUSLY hurt it)

Anyway Echo, you know what it's like and you've experienced things watching us, and you didn't like it's vibe either did you hunny?

There have been also a few bangs in my room and when i went to uni it seemed to follow me there and do the same thing. even knocked a knife off a surface (it was several inches from the edge) in front of me and two mates.

I tend to get vibes off walls.. maybe its just me being paranoid, but I do believe it, as some fo the feeligns I have had have been really strong.

There wasn't too much in your kitchen, but what I have experienced, I didn't like.

do you not remember that echo when we were lying on the sofa watching TV and you turned to the corner and said "there's something there"

that scared me! :(

when i was younger my sister and father lived in an old church it had some very old gravestones in it. one night i was sitting their "one of my favorite spots "by this headstone that look like a tree stump.
when i heard someone calling out a name
i never really could make out the name but it was loud like it was in my head i looked all around and found nothing.
still to this day i have no idea if it was real or just my mind playing tricks on me .
i know that spirts walk amongst us i have felt them but as of yet that is the only one i have heard

oh yes I've got a lot!!

Last year for the whole year I expirienced several ghosts expiriences.

A lot of times I've heard footsteps on the roof.Footsteps in my room,a shade in the mirror then disappeared,a shadow walking in the room, and a lot of stuff.And my house is not old,and it couldn't be that someone died there,since my dad built it,and why last year?

Also I've had similar expiriences in the bushes,a place very far away from my home and a feeling of presences.

And I've had ouija board expiriences too, but that came later.

The result is that I can't sleep well at night till today.

I haven't had any visual supernatural encounters but grandparents' neighbors die alone all the time so I can sometimes feel their presence or even hear sounds coming from their empty appartments ...
Also , I have some pet spirits (some sort of animal spirits) that help me when attempting to do some of that voodoo that satanists do :D

i had an experience just the other night mister non believer i was i was reading about serial killers and in my monitor twice behind me i saw a full person image go by left to right i got up to tell my wife and no sooner than i did our kids toy over in the corner started playing music it dont do it unless you push the nose it was away from us alll kids in bed it shook me i checked on my kids they were fine i shut down puter end of night always told my wife anyone mess with my family ill catch up with them but what scared me was what if this something or someone done something then what but yeah im a firm believer now

I don't know .. I must be having a hard time 'cos the're all afraid of me ..

"Why did you close the door doc?" The doctor didn't notice that a girl was inside the elevator...
"That girl died a week ago" the doctor replied
"How'd you know?"

When I was ten years old, I lived in an older house. Kinda like the victorian style home! Well, anyway, before we owned it, there had been a family that had lived there. The family was said to have a curse on them for mudering a gypsy. One night while I was watching tv, I heard the door open and shut, like someone coming home from work or something. I thought it was my mom so I ran to the kitchen to meet her. There wasn't anyone there, just the door....unlocked. I didnt' understand it, but I figured that it was just me imagining things. I went to sit down on the couch again to watch tv and this time I heard someone calling. It was a males voice and I could barely make out what he was saying "sweety?" like he was calling to a wife or something. I heard the stairs creak and heard footsteps like someone was walking up the stairs. I heard it again but stronger this time "sweety?" I heard the creak of my parents bedroom door and then a womens scream. A loud bang like a gunshot had gone off. Then, from all over at the same time, I heard a women's voice say "this house is cursed, get out or suffer the same fate as the family that lived here before" I got scared and ran out of the house!

Recently in my county newspaper, a dear friend of mine made front page news. He was conducting a science project in our local haunted hotel in the original part of the town. He can naturally see peoples auras but this time he felt a presence inside the room as he slept the night there. weeks later he came back with the most high tech camera he could find, one video and another was the digital thingy. Anyway in the middle of the night when he felt the presence again, he began taking photos. Later when he printed them, you could see a strange floating aura, well kinda like an aura but with no one there. Does that prove ghosties are real?

I dont kwo whether my random impulses are accurate or not, so dont rely on them to fuel this idea of there being something in your house... but from what I have heard and what I have felt, I woudl say that maybe we shoudl check it out again, but this time with a bit more intensity.
