I can't seem to find the right coven for me...

So i'd like to know...

Whats your favorite Coven, and why?

You'll only get biased opinions from anyone who responds. I'd recommend just looking through societies and finding one you think you'd like, and if that doesn't work see if you could be traded to another. That way you get variety and will also see which one 'works' for you.

i would not ever tell someone what coven to join. All I can tell you is why I am in the coven I am in. First of all everybody in my coven are way cool people and get along well. We also support each other in our online life as well as our offline life. My coven master is the greatest and she tries her hardest to help you with any probs you have. We also have a ton of fun in our forums. We have the fun ones like the sandbox and then we have other informative ones. All I can say is to look around at the rules of the covens and find that one that best meets your needs. Like if you can't get online alot find covens that don't ask for a ton of favors. Although all covens ask that all people participate. Seriously you can always get to know people of covens and see if you like it or not. If you dont you can always find another coven and ask to be traded.

The Covens that I have been in are cordial. There are a few out there that are detrimental to personalities, with attitude toward others, but I will not name which.

The best Coven is in the eye of the beholder, but I will name a few here...

Festival of Decay
Screaming Banshee
Fallen Souls of Sorrow
Coven of the Ancients
Lux Aeterna
Infinitus Serenus
La Rose Noir
Eternal Darkness

No offense should be taken to any other Coven of which is no within this list as it is just an example.

There are plenty of others, but to name them all only takes up forum space.

My advice would be to speak with the CM of each Coven and decide for yourself.

Personally, all the covens ive been in are a bad experience. The "Masters" expect you to be online all the time earning favour (By rating and whatnot) And when you dont play ball they throw a tantrum and "blind" you from the coven (Your still in it but cant access its forums?)
Purgatory is a wonderful Coven. I dont get silly message's about earning favour or leveling myself. The forums are full of skeptics (Though are considably inactive) and generally its just a better place to be.

The coven is a bias for all here who belong to a coven or house will say theirs is the best, I have been in several and finally have found the right one for me, search and you will know which one is right.

I have heard some horror stories of bad Covens with no names given.

I am lucky to have been selected by the Coven Master from the Coven of Hero's before anyone else picked me. I have never seen a msg from him or anyone else in the coven saying that we had to earn favor and such.

Since it is the only coven I have been in I would go with reviewing them and seeking out the Masters or Mistress's of the covens and asking them questions or even asking questions of those that are in the covens.

I have only been in two covens...
The one I was in the longest was Infinitus Serenus.I was in there when the CM changed it from the Sacred Moon Coven to Infinitus Serenus.Infinitus Serenus is a great coven and the staff and members are very helpful.I have love for that coven since it was the Very First Coven I was ever in.I was in a house,but got kicked out due to inactivity as well though.Infinitus Serenus is a great coven though.MBK Runs Infinitus Serenus.

The current Coven I am in,is ran by cherryblossom.MoonCall Ketu.I was traded into that coven by request.The coven is small and it is doing really well for a small coven.I love it in that coven.The CM and ACMs are awesome.The coven is very laid back IMO as well though.

I think that you need to decide in what your looking for. Go look into each coven/house a lot of have a main page with why we have chosen the coven/house that we are in. There are so many different ones now much more then there were when I first came here two years ago.

I have been in several over the time that I have been here. But the one I belong to know is home. It's family we support each other, talk to each other on here and off here. And most of us that are in our coven have been around for a while.

So just browse around and see what you like, ask members why they like the coven that they are in.

my favoreite coven is the coven of guardians of darkness. the guardians of darkness is awesome because u can really relate to the other members and the master of the coven is really cool if u try to join u will be inpressed by the way she has fixed it up along with the other members of the covens help aslo.

To join a coven....or house..... All have there good points. All are run differently. It is what you are most intrested in. I run one, and apart of another. And enjoy both.

My point is, there is so many great covens and houses.

Take your time and see what fits you best.

My favourite coven is The Fallen Gladiators.
their a great bunch of people who I hit off with from the start.

Personally, from my view a great coven/house is made not only by the members who are within the walls of such but by the master/mistress themselves. For that reason, here are the ones I liked being a member of the most:

The House Of Umbrae Octo- currently
The Coven Of Lost Souls- Former ACM
The Coven Of Infinitus Serenus

There's no order of priority here, just dropping names.

My suggestion to you is to look through all of the House and Coven pages as well as get to know some of the members if you are looking for a good fit. Plenty of house/coven master will trade you out, if you ask respectfully.

To add to what meeper said, if you aren't respectful or nice about asking to be traded and end up outright rude, it's more than likely you'll end up blinded by the society or sent to Purgatory. So remember that manners are a good thing.

From my view, it is best to search for a coven/house when you reach level 3- that's the best time as you then have 2 levels to make up your mind about who you want to be part of as opposed to being force-inducted. It's also strongly recommend that you chat the Coven/House masters/mistresses up to get an idea of what you're planning to do- some may allow to post crests on your profile as a 'I'm theirs so back off' kind of measure.

i would say like some of the others. take your time and read all the info on all the covens and houses. the one that naturally calls out to you or what would seem to be the best one that suits you and your lifestyle...

My follow-up message did not post for some reason. I looked to see who coven master was and was pleasantly surprised to find he had a most excellent one. No ill will my friend. He has done excellently with you as his mentor and guide.

Everyone has a difference experience...some better than others but as it has been said before you'll just have to look around on your own and find somethings out. your outlook on a certain coven may change over time as everyone elses may have in the past. just experience things for yourself and see where it goes.
