This thread has the potential to become gasoline on a fire, BUT I am going to leave it open and see where it goes for now. HOWEVER if this thread turns ugly it will be closed.
My physical body isn't imortal but I believe my soul and essence is imortal. My essence and soul are something that can never be destroied.
The soul is definitely undead and never ending and is unborn. its the part of point zero which opened the Gigantic Creation a World the rave of souls and body is always worn and changed. if you would know astral or ever been seperated self from the body and did look on the your own body lying on bed, you would believe in what i say and would explained how it is different soul is even beyond our celestial dimension our celestial dimansion is the ascension of the soul which travel with conscious. This is not the hypothecated like the hypothecation that universe is a globe without our vision or of the tools reaching its border. the deeper and higher the level of your meditation the better you know the realms it can be seen only through kundalini awaking or the spirit you see with naked eyes are those celestial remains of the soul which walk with them and you says its ghost or spirit. that is many time occured after life. yet it called mystery.
Immortality is fiction sorry no one lives forever, some would like to yet put with the idea of watching loved ones and friends die all the time around you, the mind could not take it.
Immortality is hoolywoods fiction, yet in the movies the clocks slow yet death can still come to those who have immortality. Immortality on this line would refer the ability to never die. HUH not so, stake through the heart.
The only individual that is known throughout history as a supposed never aging individual is one Comte De St. Germain...The wonder man of Europe.
St. Germain
its not the whole story, but you get the idea.
there is actually a large group, over two billion people, that believe in immortality. they may not call it that but it is what it is.
Alot of society may wish for immorttality, yet no one thing lives forever. True the life spans may differ yet we all must die at some time.
Even Hollywoods fabled monsters perish. so Immortality is a true myth. Unless we find the fountain of youth may it seem like immortality.
so far i am immortal - i've lived all my life and i'm not dead yet. of course, should i ever actually die, i shall admit that i was wrong - possibly. but until that day comes, i'm quite definetely immortal. i've not died yet. well not very often anyway.
just watch, i bet i go and die during the night now. serves me right for tempting fate.

I like the method to your madness where immortality is based.*applauds* have not seeen it put that way before.
Yet we all know death could be around the corner for each of us. so Immortality last as long as death waits to take us.
one can live and one can die but i do no that if someone will try and one is alowed to try to live on and on he soon finds death welcomeing him home .
But to die is to get life it is only the begining .
If you do not die to your self you can never live to see greater things.
Dont let your mind stop you from seeing what is right in your face.
You can live on but not without help.
And not of your own will.
You seek out the life you want and hold to it no matter what dont let go.
This life is short but the life you live after is long and well worth it.
I think nothing is immortal, the term everlasting, forever, without limit, is to vast amount of time for a matter such complex as carriers of life to adopt. I don’t think anything last forever if we keep it in the physical parameters, not even the universe itself, by the second law of thermodynamics, details that everything reaches its limits sometime, may it be by corrosion, burning, boiling etc. Scientist speculates that even the universe could be deserted in about 1trillion years from now, only black holes will be disposing of the last remains left on space of dust particles of dead stars and white stars (red dwarfs) remaining around.
On the other hand if you mean; a higher human being aging span then it could be possible, scientist also explains that in the times of the preflood in biblical times, plants and animals, including humans tend to grow bigger and live longer than in modern times because of the Atmospheric pressure influence on the planet by that time, that’s why Dinosaurs tend to grow bigger as well as plants when the earth was on it more younger years, then after millennia’s of the earth’s timeline expansion the ozone layer were reduced by 1/7 of what it is today, furthermore the sun radiation towards the surface is more intense, many ultraviolet rays prevent this changes of ages and sizes to take place now, this is one of the main reasons the Earth have the beneficial factors of new temperature that created different climates for mammals thrive in our period. So we are getting ourselves in deep waters if we keep burning our only cosmic shield from the sunlight radiation.
My opinion on this is that no one can live forever. If someone believes that they are immortal, okay that's their opinion, I respect that but my opinion stays the same.
The body was built to last forever, energy cannot dissapear only change and move direction. I think immortality would suck!
levi -
A body can't last forever, since... ya'know ... decomposition ... disintegration ... nuclear explosions ...
But immortality is fiction, basically the body and the enviroment are major agents of this. If everyone lived forever, where would we put them or the resources here on Mother Earth would be non-existant.
That's true. How can a body last forever? Won't it eventually be all worn out and tired?
Yes at some time the body or skin would eventually be leather, walking mummy. Fictional lies within the soul and their scared or lack of knowledge of death, so fables of sorts to give hope in to never dying.
Also with the fiction, it's very interesting therefore many will believe it and may people will think that they are able to live forever but then when they do die... That's another story all on it's own.
But I guess it's all according to what you believe. No one can say what you should believe because everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
If we even look at fictional monsters or characters, They to die, in almost every movie, sure to be reborn for the next movie, but death is still there.
Soimmortality is a phrase of humans. Would a man that lived to be 100 say that he had an imortal life. Probably not for he knows death will soon get them. yet he has seen and done alot.
Exactly, which comes back to what I believe. I believe that no one lives forever no matter how much they try or how much they want to. One day everyone must die and then they will have eternal life. That's my take on it.
So cradlewolf, with what you said, you can conclude that people that have the thirst for blood, sanguinarians, its tendency is more orientated in a psychological aspect rather than biological? That this behavior we speak of is a product of fear? Or there are external factors in play? as well for those seeking the truth, do you think they also have the same fear? Discarding the curiosity reason.
Revenous~
Fear of death or not knowing does not go on the basis of Drinking blood. Biological aspects of disease drinking or psycological aspects of fearing death has nothing to do with the thought that immortality does not exisist.
Fictional or tales deem that immortality is just and alive, yet the conclusion of every day life is here, do you mean to say that you shall not die.
Hmm seen alot of death and yet no one is prone to deaths clutch. Society deems the product of fear in not knowing that when they close their eyes it shall never open them again and they shall be lost forever.
I claim nothing else, would love to have the fountain of youth, yet a fable to tease the mind of those who wish to carry on in some way through the years.
And relation to kids of culture, it is more of fear I would say, have done several studies on this between age groups, and the elder are more likely to accept death, yet in the time of it, become scared of not knowing or to die alone. While kids Fear is that the knowledge of (SOME) can not even imagine no life and scared to leave love ones behind.
Culture and knowledge seem to the best to understand death. Do I, fear no, but am still in the back of my mind the fear of unknown still lies and waits.
