in your opinion what is the actual nature of a vampire?
what makes us what we are?
(((TURNING IS NOT WHAT WE DO))))
i posted what i think of vamps at the end of my profile...
"I am a Vampire.
"I worship my ego and I worship my life, for I am the only God that is.
"I am proud that I am a predatory animal and I honor my animal instincts.
"I exalt my rational mind and hold no belief that is in defiance of
reason.
"I recognize the difference between the worlds of truth and fantasy.
"I acknowledge the fact that survival is the highest law.
"I acknowledge the Powers of Darkness to be hidden natural laws
through which I work my magic.
"I know that my beliefs in Ritual are fantasy but the magic is real,
and I respect and acknowledge the results of my magic.
"I realize that there is no heaven as there is no hell,
and I view death as the destroyer of life.
Therefore I will make the most of life here and now.
I am a Vampire.
Bow down before me."
-"The Vampire Creed" (reproduced here, with permission, from *The Vampire
Bible*).
The Temple of the Vampire remains the only authentic Vampire religion in
the
world today, the U.S. division registered with the federal government.
Our
membership is international with a priesthood dedicated to the service of
the
Undead Who rule this earth.
Our primary focus is that of a unique religion which is devoted to
enabling
candidate humans achieve the Vampiric Condition and to promote the spread
of
Vampirism as it serves the desires of the Undead. This is not a game. We
are all deadly serious.
On one level, the Temple offers an immensely practical and rewarding view
of
life We call the "Dayside". On another level, the Temple offers intensive
training in the mastery of subtle levels of experience, the "Nightside",
to
produce real change in the world. On yet another level, the Temple offers
the opportunity for social communications between those who are Active
Members of the Body of the Blood both through an international forum,
"Lifeforce", as well as through direct personal contact through "The
Vampire
Connection."
The reality of Vampires is insulated from popular belief by the credulity
of
the masses. We have carefully created a firm disbelief in Our reality and
have no concern that those few who recognize Us for what We are shall sway
the massive ignorance of humanity as a whole.
Obtaining and studying *The Vampire Bible* is the first step required to
apply for Active Membership. The Table of Contents includes: "The Vampire
Creed", "The Dragon Speaks", "The Calling of the Undead Gods", "The Secret
Methods of Vampirism", "The Predator of Humans", "The Book of Dreaming",
and
"The Coming Apocalypse."
I read that in your profile, vampboy.
I think it can be made a lot simpler though... the nature of a vampire is to have a unique perspective on utilising the world around us, that most people have not realised, and would never concieve allowing it to liberate them.
what is the point in being human? That is just as complicated as being a vampyre... We are all part of a larger cycle called the food chain... muah haha...
I think you have a good point, although really a vampire could be comsidered either higher or lower within the food chain when you think about it.
I agree, Echo.
If you claim to be a vampire anyway, you are considered by society as a "freak". "Freaks" are outcasts, and can be considered better than society, or worse, depending on point of view.
Besides, most people are non-believers which makes use nonexistant to many. ;)
"Freaks" are individualists. I'd rather be me, than the most popular person at that time on television.
"Question Authority. Think for yourself."
-Maynard James Keenan
Vampiric nature is a combonation of what all of you have said. In your own ways, you are all correct. Ppl believe what they are going to believe no matter what. Individuality is definitely a large part of vamiric nature.
and on that note, i just lost my train of thought...
enjoys echo's posts....
vampiric by nature.....depends what you understand by it
that is really tough to word. i think every vampyre will think differently about the nature of a vampyre. we will agree however, that it is a different form of living and gives us some form of individuality. it is summit you purely live out with kindred or like minded people.
like i said, i find this question hard to word really, so Echo, be easy on me lol hahaha
Really, I believe it's where we learned about it in the first place. Whether it be a friend, website, or an aquaintence. It erally matters. There's more then one kind of vampire, isn't there? Which means that there's more then one way to learn about yourself.
Vampiric Nature huh? By knowing one's self, you know Man, in this case, you know other Vampyres. By knowing Vampyres and yourself, you know the creater, and there for, you can trancend through this to a higher plane of knowledge and become stronger then you are now. Thats how I see it anyways, different folks different strokes.

my oppion of a vampire is they are some cool ass people and i would love to meet a real life vampire cause my belife of them is that, that is the way that they were born and for someone to drink other peoples bllod all the time well it freaked me out at first but that is their way of being able to live and noone should say anything bad about them cause that is just them and i think that it is awesome and they can live the way they want to and noone can stop them cause i don't believe that anything will kill them cause they are everlasting people that is my oppion.
Then again I ask the same question:What's a vampire anyway? Is it just blood or psi or it an be another thing or more?
I think it all depends on what an individual believes what is a vampire...
if you don't know i can't explian it to you *because i don't know myself he he*
I think of us as another step on the evolutionary food chain-granted a much HIGHER step, but a step-just another facet of what keeps the wilderness in balance
i think our nature is a pretty easy nature to follow we need blood to survive and we get blodd when we need it
We are all different... Some born this way, so find out right away, some take longer... It is very copmplicated...
I disagree with vladamier. Not all vampires have to have a bloodlust. That's not even what's it's mostly about. It's about energy, and how much you can take from one, to excite yourself and the other. You only have small amounts of when need be.
we r the result of someone who murdered 1/4 th of the worlds population and got away wt it Cain
There is no single answer for the question that you ask, Vampirism means different things to different people
Vampire have more of an ability to ban together than humans do.
