What do you think about being a jumper able to go any where u wish and gain anything in ur power u need
I am so interested in learning about it I saw the movie The time travelers wife
what do u guys think on this?

I don't really know.I mean it's just a movie.
I try not to 'dwell' on movie ideas too much,
it can really mess you up.
No one can really 'jump'...but if one could,
id say the world will have no need for alot of things that
can transport other anyplace.
and if one could 'jump' the government will just
kidnap the man or woman and kill them.probly.

I was thinking that myself I asked because im taking a course on Qauntium jumping teaches u to be a jumper and how to jump between deamensions.

It would be a cool gift to have, I would probably go travel Europe or something. Of course I don't think that anything like this would be possible, then again...you never know.

I believe it could happen but only by machinery- a Teleport perhaps, when we reach a Golden Era in our times, we will acquire the knowledge to transmit and arrange our atoms from one side to another with precision, like a telephone or television, I say it could happen,- not like the movie you presented though.

Both are intriguing movies but I don't know if it would be so good for people to be jumping in and out of time. It is almost like meddling. I would suspect that you would change history if you got too involved in the goings on in the time you went into but jumping from place to place in your own time would be fun. Only thing is I hate to say man is inherently dishonest but like the movie I think given the opportunity they would do similarly. I really don't think things shown in these movies is possible but then I am not a scientist.

But answer the original question...yes if I could "Jump" to anywhere on Earth at any time...I would do it.

Well controlling the wormhole can do this, but its not jumping but its goes to deisred place or time period place... in normal case it is done in astral exercises or dream projection. but in ancient time this technique of going with total body was available and there is mention of this in indian epics.

As I stated before it isn't about time travel..."jumping" is going from one point on Earth to another in the same time period...just getting there in a matter of seconds.

I think I more like folding space. If make a mark on the left side of a sheet of paper and one on the right, the easiest and fastest way to get from point to point would be to fold it and touch the 2 points together. Thus folding space, the problem and question is would that hole be able to be closed again without incident. As for wanting that ability no. At some point others would find out about the ability and governments, terrorist and criminals would then do anything necessary to get that power.

In theory... and wishful thinking, it sounds like a plan, to me! However, there's always a catch! Imagine, "jumping" while freefalling from a building and trying to land... What if the accumulated speed x weight=lbs. force
crushed you upon jumping to your next destination? Or if you were sneezing while "jumping" and your nose fell off? Or worse, your snot hit you upon reentry?!

Impossible. Jumping between "two" different words is just a fiction combined with a good popcorn. the movie, well made. Interesting and Unique. Reality, never can happen.

i wouldnt put it past scientists in the future, maybe it's possible but not for a long time yet, i think transportation like in the movie the fly or star trek would be something they could try out, it could have side effects tho like in the fly movie lol

Seriously I think that you would have to have a very extensive knowledge of geography otherwise what would prevent you from winding up in the middle of the ocean or inside a mountain. If the power existed I would certainly use it.

I doubt that jumping is actually real.
It would be an awesome way to get around, But it's doubtful!

& if you like the time travelers wife, I suggest you see the movie "Jumper" with hayden christiansen. It's actually about jumping, instead of time traveling.

I think that going back in time wouldn't be possible. And I have my doubts about Jumping. But if I could choose another gift, Jumping would be at the top of the list. - Lucien

Ive considered the concept of teleportation and I have a theory on it. I'm assuming that most people are familiar with the planar system or if they aren't they know someone they can ask, but the basic concept is the same as moving consciousness into an ethereal plane, except that it would also involve moving a persons physical form, which I'm not sure can be done without dissembling the body and killing the person, or if the body will survive the transformation into/out of said ethereal plane. also it probably wouldn't be instantanious and then there would probably be complications with the massive energy transport etc. etc. etc.

If Jumping was possible I would be definetly be in the older ages. I would see what the world was like and live freely. I think it would be a gift. Something perfect.

There has been technological experimentation with teleportation, but from what I hear, every attempt which worked ended in death. People appearing inside solid matter living long enough only to wish they died right away.
