I believe the poster wants to know why the world is said to end December 2012, and if the members of VR think it is valid.

It isn't going to end.

it is all hype and myth based on a supposed Mayan calender ending on that date.

Much like at the end of the 20th Century when everyone believed the world would end and all computers would stop working.

There is always something people need to fear and worry about.

It has something to so with ancient Mayan predictions and the ancient Mayan Calendar. I'm not too sure, but I did find a site that might help you.

As far as opinions go. No, I do not think it will be the end. We've had so many date like this before, claiming the world was going to end. It hasn't yet.

ok i also heard abut that maya calender people r saying that there is nothing riten in it after the month dec ......
i am thinking that if the maker of maya calender dont want to make calender after dec 2012 that not make any sence of end of our world ......

The Mayan Calender was created many centuries ago...they didn't decide to stop making it after December.IT just stops on December 21, 2012.If you read about the Mayans you'll understand their belief system better.

Other then slight shifts in the earths polarity due to magnetic disturbances from the nearby black hole, as well as the earths axis going to an indistinct rythm due to planetary alignments, the equator shiftings its location and the oval earth becoming circular.. Nothing cataclysmic such as the movie: Numbers, with Nicholas Cage.

Weather will be off shift, as it has been for about 5 years now, but no one will die from an epic proportion catastrophe as rumoured. The 2012 awakening will be that of a metaphysical level alone. Spirits will be more likely to show themselves and more active then ever, awareness for other dimensions will come into play for those who are in tune with what is known as the ascension process. society will start to see in a 5th dimensional perspective instead of the regular 3rd.

Oh very ill minded guess work... why don't peepal amage on the constellation of stars in which sun becomes center point. its all amaging... and not to make havoc of such celestial happening. Nothig is going to happen on earth. in this constellation sun and its planets are very far from other 88 stars.

Mayan Callender who have cyphered mayan language till now? None would tell us the exact meaning of their scripts. even astronomy and callenders are full of shifting probability and hypothecations.

Te era may change but what is happening on earth will go on at same rate the pollution the progress etc etc. till total human kinship start revolution from within itself. no astronomy going to influence them and none cellestial arrangement of stars in the gallaxy impact on them. their nature will remain as it is. their life span and cycle will be at the same rate.

I don't think the world will end in 2012. They said that back in 1999 when the world was gonna end in 2000. They've all said the world is coming to an end. Then you have the shows about the Anti-Christ coming and that at this present moment he is about 7-8 maybe a little older. That when he reveals himself all Christians will be sent to Heaven while everyone else suffers for the next 7 years and anyone who believes in God during that 7 years will be on Gods side during the final battle. There are things that do possibly prove both theories of the world ending in 2012 and Anti-Christ.
