The majority of the Vampire community believe that when someone is begining to awaken that a bit more energy is contained in their energy signature and it attracts or draws those who have already awakened to them to help or to initiate their awakening. They call this type of energy
signature a Beacon.

I disagree. My belief is that those who have already awakened have stronger energy signatures and this draws those who are
about to awaken. Hence the Beacon comes from those who are awakened rather than those about to.

I suggest this version because its been my experience that 9 out of every 10 Kin who are about to awaken find their way to me or to other
Kin that I know of. We don't actively search for them, nor are we drawn to them. And 75% of the time this happens online where the energy signature is not as easily detected as it is in face to face situations..

So I pose this question......who is actually the Beacon?

Note** You can find the communities definition here. http://sanguinarius.org/terminology.shtml

That's a really good point, but, I still feel that the potential 'awakenee's' still emanate a specific wave which can be identified by other awakened and draw them in as well as other non-awakened.

Perhaps two beacons? Or one beacon which radiates out over many 'channels'?

i competely agree unless the person that is about to awaken has a very strong spiritual energy, but that is usually not the case.

Irregardless of the strength of their particular 'beacon' I don't go looking for anyone...I'm aware they are there but they have to come to me not the other way around, and they are always the ones drawn not me going in search, as did I when I needed my answers, although my particular 'beacon' was strong even back then....

I would say that the first interpretation would be correct if any, but also that someone who has already been awakened might, indeed, be drawn toward those with the potential to awaken.

In the interest of my own logic though, I'm going to say that I can't put much faith in either. It's been my experience that many of these 'stronger beacons' put up a flag. In that I mean, they talk about and wear things that attract attention from that type of person. If you were walking out in public, you would be more likely to be aware of the people in your click that are around than of others whom visually you associate as mundane.

Likewise, the bigger the beacon..the stronger the opinion I've found. Versatile and traditionally outlandish opinions attract attention from the same type of person. It's natural to want to be around those who feel similarly.

In addition, the Internet plays a huge part in helping to lock onto those beacons. A lot of the more knowledgeable people in the field are on the Internet exchanging ideas and participating in debates..just as we do here. Someone new to the scene is often going to ask for advice from the person he/she feels is best suited for it. The opinions(and graphics) you present will determine if they choose you or not.

I only mention the former because I find it difficult to believe that a newly awakened in California would be drawn to this greater beacon in Idaho without the aid of the Internet. Just my thought on it.

I believe that the beacon resides in both non-awaken and awaken vamps. The energy signature might be a little more intense in a newly awaken vamp. due to the repressed prana that is exploding to the surface. After this initial burst of energy and the newly awaken vamp. has finished their awakening the beacon subsides to a steady pulse. A fully awakened vamp. has a special sense for this high energy output and is usually drawn to it when they encounter such a situation where they cross paths with a Fledgling.

I got to say I to a big degree agree with Vlad's response, although Rowan's points to what she believe's is something i agree with to.But also i have my own beliefs.

I believe we all have energy and signatures and we allow specific individuals to experience the signature we leave..Hence some feel some energy, while others feel it maybe more significantly. This is a awesome topic!Keep it going !

all of us have a tremendous amount of energy that our like kind can see, feel and find ..weither they are newly awakened, about to awaken or have been for some time.
theres a ripple in the energy when one comes into who they are..hense why we are drawn to the newlys..that increase in the prevailent engery at hand draws us to the new source like flies to a light.

Well from personal experience I find more of those who are either newly awakened, or just beginning their awakening tend to seek me out. But the fact that those of us who are awakened can often sense the sleepers and those on the threshold of an awakening, even when we have never had any contact with them prior to that point, would suggest at least to me, that they also have some type of beacon that allows us to home in on them and recognize them for what they are.

So I do think that the stronger beacon would most certainly be in those who are already awakened, but that yes those who are not awake also possess such a thing.

I also believe that those who have already awakened have stronger energy signatures and this draws those who are
about to awaken. I think you got it right!

Being very new to this, I find this fascinating, because I was doing some research of my own on the computer about vampires because I have always been drawn the them for some reason, always felt a fondness or a closeness, when all of the sudden on a group I belong to that has nothing to do with vampires, sent me an invite here. I have felt at home ever since. That is also why I myself am still searching for a mentor.

Hi demonicsaint,

There is a current theory which does imply that using a program such as MSN to communicate between minds, can allow for an easier transfer of energy between the two (or more).

I have read accounts of psychic attacks taking place over the net and I have suffered 'probes' myself, though, as I'm far more forgiving than most, I don't retaliate, as it could just be someone not understanding what they are doing, or, they could be intending to probe, but, my system recognising it as an attack.

I would caution anyone attempting to reach out online to someone else, to be sure that that someone is for one, aware of what you are doing and secondly, be a person to whom you have invested a measure of trust.

demonicsaint I believe that it is possible. I think that one can feel anothers energy if you have some connection no matter where you are; in another state, in another room, in another country. You have to be careful how much you let other people know what you are feeling, though. :)

I feel those that are awakening have the potential to help others reconnect with themselves and start the process of awakening themselves.~NFA

The term Beacon maybe the confusing aspect...The awakened glow of their energy in ways that different types of beings can be aware of...The awakening also glow...it is a different type of energy on a different frequency...Again different beings can be aware of this as well...Both can be drawn to one another...It all depends on their purpose and intent...As well as their clarity and power of Mind...
