I was curious if anyone here were into the paranormal or trying to contact? I know some people have used Ouija Boards or other forms. Has anyone ever thought about using the computer as a form?

I had an idea that it would be interesting to see if it's possible by leaving the computer on when away from it, toss up wordpad or notepad, just to see if words appear on the screen by an unknown source.

Has anyone ever tried things to succeed? If so, please share your stories, your thoughts etc.

I have used an Ouija board and contacted a lingering spirit. It was absolutely creepy. I have not tried the wordpad one though... What if someone came in and typed it down to mess with you? Just an idea.

A virus on the computer seems to make us feel like we were in contact with a demon.

Computer viruses.. eek. What about séances?

I have went to mediums some are good...some I have found were quite wrong.

The Spell checker on my Ipod, Is possessed, It is a malevolent geist, thart seeks to embarass me, my putting words in my mouth.

So Ouija Board is really the "Yes/No Board"

It was developed as a tool for telekinetic implementations. However, the piece to be moved must be made out of something natural that can harness energy. Seeing how the mass produced one is made out of plastic, most will never see any results.

There are other more effective ways to get results. Just remember, all tools of divination for mediums... work like a walker for a baby, they are only to help you till you become more advanced.

Remember, not all results are the results of spirits. If you think about something enough, or have enough fear of something you don't understand, you can self generate physical manifestations that you are unaware of while feeding your imagination to make it grow at the same time.

Ouija Boards are not a tool for the beginner. beginners should look into Pendulums, and Dowsing first. These are more direct with the user, and one can better learn to control and judge their own energy as they progress. I use a shadow cloud method for communicating with my subconscious and other spirits, so I don't use tools anymore.

If you do not know how to work with energy, I highly suggest never attempting any form of divination, cause it would be like an illiterate person trying to read a book.

The computer divination is tricky. If you are willing to take a chance on frying your computer, go right ahead. All energy is electro magnetic or at least has electro magnetic properties when causing things to happen in the physical. I simply tried turning off a computer once from about 20-30 feet away and not only did it work, it never came back on. Turns out I accidentally sent out an EMP (Electro Magnetic Pulse). Now when I do stuff, I try to avoid electronics.

Thanks for the responses however i was curious if anyone had any success when using them to make contact or have tried other means, through experimentation.

Anyone whom has used such materials had to have a beginning, someone to experiment with these specific tools. Otherwise how would there be so many people suggesting what we should or shouldn't use?

I don't believe trying to tap into the spiritual by computer will "fry" your computer. That apparently is an experiment waiting to happen since i haven't seen anyone actually say they have tried to do it before.

Why do people assume something bad will happen? Is it not your own fears that may trigger trying to communicate? What if something did make contact? Would you be too afraid to communicate back or would you do it?

Well SS , the problem is that I don't use movies as a resource for information. I'm not big on what people use media wise to put things into people's heads. I'm more interested in what is ACTUAL and the facts. lol But thanks for the suggestion.

LOL .. well I used the ouija board when younger till my dat banned it fromt he house LOL They believed that it can open the door to unwanted spirits and it did the pointer flew across the room and cut mt mom on her chest, needless to say it got burned and the ban went inot affect. ;)

I do not think Ouija boards should be used. Reason being that there is a trace left behind of the portal that had been opened while using the Ouija Board where spirits can easily get through; therefore,it causes hauntings. Computer type devices can be used if a person wants to use them or feels it necessary to use.

It could be interesting but uninteresting as well. It can be used more as an experiment. The ghost/spirit would have to gather a lot of energy to type just one word or sentence.

I have not tried Ouija boards and never will. It is, in essence, an open gateway in which spirits can come through and roam the earth. I would try computer type things as an experimental device nothing else. If it worked then i'd experiment again in several different places and if it works several times i'd consider using it as a device to communicate.

Here's a question....Why is it ok to use the computer to communicate, but not the Ouija board? Is there a difference between the 2 in some way (other than believing there's a portal opened for a Ouija board)?

Instrumental Transcommunication or ITC is a method worth experimenting with. The results can be far creepier than a Ouija board : ) This is like EVP only you use a video camera pointed at a tube TV screen connected to a computer creating a feedback loop. If anyone has ever read about Tesla, they may know of how he was "inspired" to create the cathoid tube..

There was a chick i went to school with who was possessed, and ive been to rituals and have performed communication rituals myself

I use a ouija board all the time , but prefer to make direct contact . I think things like table tipping and the ouija are very turn of the century ways of communicating with the dead . Maybe as more people from the internet age die , we,ll see them trying to communicate through computers and electronic devices , I dont know just a thought .

Computers do seem to be able to create a link between living people , theres people that i only know from talking to them via the net , and yet it seems to have created enough of a link for me to tell if they,ve messaged me , or been thinking about me .

A tool is a tool is a tool. Ouija is just a tool to communicate with the other side. Just my opinion. People spend entirely too much time trying to mystify science that we don't yet understand.

To answer the question, I have on many occasions fallen asleep while writing and I have not found any unexplained writing on my operating system...dribble on the key board, that's all.

well i have found typing on my laptop after i fell asleep... it was similar to aslivbhalsdfvbah selavihavaif;avi but most likely its where my head layed on the key board

Has anyone tried to experiment since this thread? Are there anyone that would try it to see if something DID or could happen?

Someone said what if someone came into your house and tried to mess with you? Well where i live, no one comes to my house nor can get in without me or a family member letting them inside which normally does not happen. I would know if someone else messed with it. Plus, I am always the first person to get up. No one else would know what i was doing if they were not told so there would be no reason for anyone to "mess" with my experiment.

I think anything is worth a shot, anything is worth trying esp if there's many ways or forms of communicating.
