Copy pasting a thread that I made about two years ago, because this forum needs less sucky topics.
The following is a passage taken from this article of the Fortean times referring to Count de Saint-Germain.
''The 18th century abounded in romantic riddles – the Man in the Iron Mask, Cagliostro, the Lost Dauphin… but there’s something uniquely engaging about the Count of St-Germain, who stepped from nowhere with no past and no name to dazzle the French court. He pops up from time to time across Europe, only to vanish, leaving extravagant rumours in his wake: he was immortal; owned the elixir of life; was a Rosicrucian; a spy; an incognito king. I have no urge to burst this bubble. I couldn’t if I tried; the many mysteries about the Count will never be solved. It is possible, though, to winnow some fictions from the facts, and trace their development. The legend has had a life of its own, and it’s quite a story.''
And the following article was taken from Paranormal.about.com.
''Is it possible that a man can achieve immortality - to live forever? That is the startling claim of a historical figure known as Count de Saint-Germain. Records date his birth to the late 1600s, although some believe that his longevity reaches back to the time of Christ. He has appeared many times throughout history - even as recently as the 1970s - always appearing to be about 45 years old. He was known by many of the most famous figures of European history, including Casanova, Madame de Pampadour, Voltaire, King Louis XV, Catherine the Great, Anton Mesmer and others.
Who was this mysterious man? Are the stories of his immortality mere legend and folklore? Or is it possible that he really did discover the secret of defeating death?''
It's said Count de Saint-Germain discovered the secrets behind immortality.
The questions I'm asking are:
Do you believe this man [if he existed] truly discovered that secret?
What do you think about the claims and sitings of Saint-Germain over the years? Are they real, or are they just people who had tried to gain fame?
If yes to the first question, do you think he still lives among us?
What are your beliefs on this?
the law of entropy says that its not possible to live forever.
that said, there is no reason why some individual might not have a metabolism that allows them to age very slowly. perhaps he had a mutated gene or something.
id love to know this secret tho.

or it could be that if you are locked up in a room away from the world your skin never gets exposed to sun, I have noticed that incredibly pale people have less wrinkles and therefore appear to not be as old as they really are
A more likely idea is that in every third or fourth generation of the family a dopelganger to the original will be born... a multi-generational twin... if the family secrets are kept for this individual and he is trained to become the ancestor, never letting the truth out... it would appear to the world as if one man had lived for centuries... people have been killed for secrets like this.
I think the sightings people claim witness to are nothing more than figments of their imagination.
I mean my dad was born in 1955 and when I was 16 I swore that a man that came into a convenient store was him.
1. I hadn't seen my dad in 4 years.
2. I was in California and he was in Arkansas.
3. I could swear to this day that it was his exact look-alike.
There is definitely money to be had in those posing as famous people. Look at Elvis and Marilyn Monroe. lol
From the first link you posted,
"Meanwhile, I AM begat the Church Universal and Triumphant led by Mark and Elizabeth Clare Prophet. The Church’s biography of St-Germain now includes incarnations as an Atlantean priest, Merlin, both Bacons (Roger and Francis) and Columbus. He designed the American flag, helped write the Constitution and founded the Boy Scouts. He lives in a pink crystal cave in Wyoming, where he leads the fight against tobacco, alcohol, sugar, and dissonant music. 13 The Church distributes two portraits – Ascended Master St-Germain and Knight Commander St-Germain. Perhaps we’re back to the two St-Germains of Alliette!"
I'm related to Roger and Francis. I don't see them being incarnates of germain.
I can't say at all whether this Count found a way or not, but in a general sense, Yes! Immortality is entirely possible.
The human body is a miracle of evolution. The regenerative powers of our bodies is astronomical. The fact is that our bodies don't need to decay. The only reason they ever do is after years and years of denigration from impurities in the environment(air, food, water, etc) and the sub-conscious agreement to the notion of death as an inevitability.
By consciously manipulating your cellular structure, eating pure foods and water, vigorous exercise, spiritual alignment(meditation, yoga), your body will never actually need to die.
but even if we discover a way to live hundreds or thousands of years, wouldn't it get tiring
I don't think it would get tiring. Think of everything you would get to see, the places you would get to travel to, the things you would learn. If you could live for thousands of years you could easily master any instrument, you could have antiques out the ass. Just think ts 2010. By 3010, whatever you had from 2010 would be worth a grip of money. You could travel around the world to find the exact, perfect place you would want to live.
i'm not saying i wouldn't enjoy living hundreds of years, just that my body would be all old and then it wouldn't be fun
Only through reincarnation would this be possible. The spirit is eternal and the body is limited by time.
I'm thinking it's possible to slow aging and there are scientists testing this.

Technically we are living longer life spans so why not someone who's ahead of the game?
a mutation could allow an extended life.
i hope life is extended in my life time...in my opinion, a single life time just isnt enough.
