It seems like not many are into the webcam broadcasting section here...
I think it sounds great!

why the lack of interest?

I, personally, don't care for it. It's a great feature don't get me wrong. However, I have watched and listened to others on the webcams occassionally but it just isn't something I would do.

People are camera shy maybe

..i think its the fact that just anyone can watch...not just who you choose to..

think itd be better if only people we choose could view it?

there should be a privacy option.

Maybe some people just don't want to have people intrude into their homes and see them for who they really are.

Agreed, some I will show to, some I will not.

If you didn't want people to watch, you shouldn't be broadcasting in the first place.

I dont mind using it I just got problem with my conxion and I work all the time lol so its either while cooking, painting, playing Diablo2 WoW or sleeping (which you will never see, since I sleep in my eve suit lol)

It isn't that we don't want people to watch, just not certain people...

Everyone who has been on here half the time I have (Almost two years) has probably run into at least a few members that aren't... necessarily good people.
And to let just anyone see us in our own homes is intimidating

Yes, V.Chic thats was what I was saying. That perhaps a feature could be added to give "permissions" or a password . That would allow friends and Coven access, I disagree with donkey that it has to be "Carte blanch " all or nothing.
Having said that I am not a programmer so perhaps the geek squad can educate me/us.

I can see what people are saying about how they dont want to be seen in there home but than again what are you really doing that is that big of a deal? You are normally in front of a computer just chatting and talking. Muting people is a way from any negative comments coming your way and of course always using the block button.

But than again I do see what is being sad about it in a way too.

I tried the feature, and it is great, I can see why a lot of people use it. However it is just not for me. I don't like being on cam or having my picture taken as it is.

It could also be that a lot of people don't have webcams, or just aren't interested at all

This isn't really going any where. I think it would be better made as a poll.
