Most people are aware of 'Past life Regressions', in fact there have been several threads in the forum on this subject. However, there is a new 'fad' if that's the right word to use, where people have 'Inter life regressions' where, under hypnosis, the subject goes back to their time in-between different incarnations. If this actually works, then surely it answers the age old question ... "where do we go when we die?"

I'd be extremely interested to hear other people's views and opinions on this matter.

I'm on the hedge when it comes to things that come out under hypnosis. with the right prodding from the person 'administering' the hypnosis, anything can come out or be 'remembered'

This reminds me of the place many refer to as "limbo" yes? That place in between being alive and being dead.
I suppose if one is granted the ability to think and percieve what is around them, then it would be possible to know that answer.
It all depends on if one is conscious or just alseep so to speak. And maybe we aren's suppsed to remember if we do find out while there.

i agree with alluringaurelia

who knows how much is what happened and how much is fed to them to believe

i think a lot of times that they had dreams abou things they wanted to believe that was past lives and really convinced themselves they were real and with the right person "helping" you remember it all comes out as real

i think if you were meant to know what you did in your past lives you would somehow know already

Yikes, if it is real why would you want to do that?

Sounds unlikely, as has already been said, how do you know what is real and what is perceived?

Should not...I doubt it, what is it that we are not suppose to remember? I think it can make a difference inot the choices we will make for the near futur, and on our decisions have a positive impact.

but what if it is something that you find out that would make you change your whole life you have now

i would be worried it would be something that was never meant to be remembered and that is why it you never did and now that you have learned about it you have changed your whole life for it

kind of like when someone goes back in the past and changes one small thing and everything in the future is changed b/c of that

Maybe but what if that change makes it better for everyone and including you? What if it prevents you from doing a wrong so big that it would have been better you never existed? So I still beleive it would be worht it. To make sure to do the right thing

yes that is true

but what if it goes the other way and makes you do something so wrong that it would of been better not to exist

i guess it really depends on the individual on how much they want to know

i would be worried that it would change things for the bad

I think Inter life regression could be possible, as long as you have the right person helping you do it...

I think hypnosis can bring out memories but also not all memories are true memories. Some memories are dreams.

I do not really think that this inter-life regression would work....if we were meant to remember what we saw in death, then it would be remembered in our waking mind or our dreams.

Many people who have never undergone past-regressive therapy still remember past lives, but the bits between the lives are never remembered.

I have never been hypnotized, but I think that the mind can be manipulated nto 'remembering' something if the person doing the hypnotizing influences it to do so.

I find that to be iffy at best. I mean, how do you know that you aren't just pulling out ideas of what that person believes is where they were "in between" lives? I mean, I still sit on the fence a bit about past lives...so I can't honestly say I believe this 100% either.

The real question is... while under hypnosis... how much is from past experiences and just how much is coming from the person asking the questions...

I've always been a skeptic when it comes to hypnosis. Your mind can be a great adventure at times, even make you have unbelievable dreams. Who's to say that under hypnosis, your mind can't make up these "past" realities? Just a thought.

I had the experience some months ago, because I wanted to know about some fears and characteristics I wanted to know where they came from...
I can't tell you if it was real or not... everything was very shadowy and I only could receive some flashes, like pictures...

Life between lives is not something new I think, nor recall through hypnosis.

When Spiritualism became ' popular ' in the UK about 1940 books were written which basically described levels of being, learning and resting before reincarnating.

It could be interesting to see I suppose if you enter a state where your observations aren't clouded by past experiences.

I dont think one should 'force' any kind of life regression. I posted before that my belief is that if you are meant to see it, it will be show to you. Forcing can bring about false memories. Its like opening presents before Christmas; it only causes dissapointment.

But thats just me!! I love reading everyone's posts!! Im learning so so much!

Most of us have enough to contend with adding past life memories would be too much of a burden perhaps.
