As mentioned in a previous thread the SUN is going through a natural cycle and is getting hotter.
This particular cycle coincides with some nasty activity around a large black sun spot. This link shows how earth is already being affected. Images of the spot seems to show it contains nothing, just an abyss. Scientists are predicting massive power outages and fried satellites.
Given Vampires struggle with the Sun and often use Spf 50 upwards, what plans do both otherkin and normal folk have in place for 2012/3 ?

Due to hit today and tomorrow. 3 flares now heading for Earth.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-12493980
well, I'm guessing that everyone and everything might be effected.Science knows of so little on to whats going to actually happen.'they' say alot is going to happen..and DOES it really happen the way the planned it?no..not really.
such as,this asteroid comming in 2036.. its wa big as the rosebowl, and will end everylife on this planet. But,thats what they said about alot of things. It's so far away, anything can happen in between..before it actually happens or to when it'll get here.
IF the flares reach us..it might make the temps grow higher, but I must admit..probably not by much. It'll go back to normal eventually anyways. Plus..the space junk is capable of frozen temps, and shock waves into getting into space. Why really worry about it? Nothing you can actually do about it all. The sun actually has a better chance into going into a ultraviolet state, becoming radioactive.
Yes, the sun will become a red giant, and grow large and
go into a black hole, but we will be dead long before it gets that way. Everything will be effected..one way or or the other. Plants will die, insects will die..animals will grow hungry..everything is a chain reaction. The sun is important to everyone. Even vampires.
If humans are effected..get sick or the loss of food,
because of the sun, then it'll effect everyone else, you know?
But then again, we are just talking about a spot..and a couple of flares.
We DO have a small sun you know. Compared to what it's supposed to be.
Mmmm, I assume that the Sun is cracking up and what we are seeing is the beginning of a major change in the sun. this is not the first time that this phenomenon happen. And by the way, the Sun is Old and for sure, one day will cease to exist, and then, what will happen to the Human race: The end Folks!!
Even though the sun does happen to be over at least 4 billion years old, its not expected to run out of Hydrogen at least for a couple of more million years. So, nothing to worry about for a little bit.
actually its considered middle aged...prolly has another 3 or 4 billion years in her.

Stay out of florida. All my life I've had the whitest skin. After about a month of being homeless in florida my skin is now... well skin colored and doesn't seem to go away! The tan faded but I'm just not white anymore! There seems to be a giant hole in the ozone over florida or mayb the sun is just WAY more intense there. But if it really is the sunshine state its gona fry like and egg. lol
Well its not something that can be controlled or fixed, the sun will expand grow, or explode when its good and ready. Nothing the human race can do but sit back and enjoy the show. Why worry about something out of our control?
True, i think the point is you will have 4 days to see the flare coming and decide what action to take.
Or not, as the case maybe.
The Sun is not going to end anytime soon but a large crispy falre...yes, that is quite likely.
well i look at it this way there is always going to be some one saying some sort of doomsday dribble whether or not said event really happens no one truly knows until it happens. but the solar flares them selves aren't really the thing to worry about it is the massive amounts of microwave radiation that we must worry about because we all know what happens to food and what not inside of a microwave oven well lets just say ding fries are done, end of story for mankind
One reason to care about something out of our control is that it'll kill us dead.
i doubt humanity will be gone forever when we go. We showed up once we can do it again
(If there's fungus that can think, there's bacteria that can evolve into something like us within ten billion years)
I know that I plan on staying inside as much as possible, and I should be using sunscreen, and I should probably start soon
staying indoors lots of sunblock sunglasses and should the tv and internet go down I got lots of good books to read
Lead lined Coffins...I have always wanted one to preserve my corpse Lol
We are all still here so far and I am still bloody cold! Where are these flares to warm me?
ive also read recently that the sun is going thru a cooling cycle, and we may be about to hit a new ice age.
rather have global warming than an ice age.
~W~
Seems like an ice age would be better to me, seeing as one can always add more layers of protection in the cold, but when you are hot you can only remove so much.
