How it works - If you see a shore excursion you like on the main site, not listed under our group link above - please post a request HERE, or send me an email (or you can phone me) - and I will have it added.

If you want to peruse ALL of the excursionS (not with our group) you can view those here See ALL Shore Excursions - THEN send me an email and let me know which one you want to add. (or post the request here). It takes about 24 hours to get it added - and there is no limit to the number of shore excursions we can have available to book. Once I have it added - I will answer you via the way you notified me, post here or emil.

I think you have made some great choices.

The only shore excursion we are planning to do is the RainForest hike / Cave tubing in Belize.

The rest of the ports we are just going to play it by ear. The last cruise we were on we did shore excursions in every port and we felt we missed out on seeing more of the local culture and sites.

BTW, do you know which ports are docked and which are tenderd?

Good Choices! I really like the two ruin choices. Where are the nassau links for those 2 choices. We are still deciding the Excursions we are going to do.

I second the Cave Tubing in Belize. That sounds AMAZING!

Ok People.. There is a new shore excursion in belize.. a zip line over the jungle canopy! And this can be combined with the cave tubing!

I know for sure I want to see the Mayan ruins. Anything else might mean the exposure of my legs, and I'm not sure if thats a good thing.....pretty white.

Do we need to book the Excursions or do you have to do this Allgenre? Crystal & I are still deciding on the ones we like but will know this week. Peace

Do NOT book your shore excursions yet!! I am working on excursions that will have you traveling with other members of the group. There is nothing worse then a goth, sitting next to a 60 year old catholic on a 1 hour bus ride to the ruins!

I will be providing a sign up page.. it will be detailed and comprehensive. the only people that will be able to book these private excursions, are those in our group.. so you can see how many of our group are also going.

Please be patient. that page will be up next week.. its ALOT of excursions, and one of them is being custom made by a company for me.. its an all inclusive beach party.. from alcohol to wave runners.. TO FOOD.. to... kayaks, snorkling, or laying in a hammock doing nothing... you will find me in hammock number 3 under the huge tree that blocks out 99.99% of the sun.

In Nassau, I would honestly suggest doing the Beach Party with the group. Not that there isn't significant historical value there, but I can get all the history lessons I need about that area by tasting the rum. =)

Note. The all inclusive party was set for Costa Maya instead of Nassua. Nassau was just to high priced to be any type of a value when it came to all inclusive.

In answer to this commonly emailed question - we have some certified C-Class divers going with us, who requested the dives. I will not be diving.

I think the cave tubing seems to be the most popular.

I can't imagine a more perfect way to spend a few hours than hiking to get the blood moving and then lazily floating back down.

I haven't been on Carnival before, but I don't think any of the cruise lines have the flavored creamers.

If you're willing to PAY extra for coffee the Creames coffee shop on board will have flavored syrups to add to your coffee or expresso drinks.

OOH OOH!! I've got an excursion...Atlantis Hotel in Nassau finished their huge-ass waterpark and I would love to go there, since I can do all that cultural stuff for all the ports, and when my brain shuts down from exhaustion I can then sit on an innertube and veg.

Although, I've been to Nassau before, and I did the Stingray swim, it's actually pretty neat...i liked it better than the *cough*gouge with the cost*cough* dolphin adventure.

Yes!!! I just wish it was going to catch the Dia Delos Muerto festival... They have a huge and amazing view point on the dead... I have never been to Mexico before, but I bet they have the lovely cemetaries. I need to go there for that, get me some sugar skulls :)

What shore excursions are everyone planning on doing?

I'm considering the Special Group Charter from Cozumel to Tulum and back in Cozumel.

I definately want to do the cave tubing and zip line in Belize and the Chacchoben Ruins and Mayan Adventure in Costa Maya.

I think in Nassau I want to just walk around and go see stuff without paying for a tour guide. Is that safe?

The number 1 choices thus far have been:

Tulum Ruins in Cozumel - you cannot go to Cozumel and not see the ruins. these are the best ruins out there, dating back to 1400 AD.

The combination cave tubing/zip line tour in belize.

The all you can drink beach party in Costa Maya.

And its a draw between the Graclife experience and being on your own in Nassau.

Nassau is for the most part safe to go out on your own in.. and the shopping is fab. However, with so many of us on the ship, I dont really see you being alone.

Should we book the excursions directly on the Shore Trips site, or would you prefer we do them through you?

In their FAQ section they reccomend makeing the booking "through your travel proffessional". But, I don't want to be responsible for any broken keyboards or self mutilation!

Whatever you prefer works for me, but I thought it might be a question other have as well.

You would book directly with shoretrips on the website under the groups tabs.

When you book the shore excursions online at shoretrips.. you are booking though your travel professional, as I organized them with shoretrips.

They will send me an updated manifest each time someone books.. so I know who is going where.

I was wondering:
1) when is the deadline to book this?
2) When is the deadline to pay?

1) The "deadline" that Shore Trips states if 48 hours before the ship sails. (See the FAQ). In reality though the REAL deadline is before the excursion sells out. So book as soon as you can.

2) You pay when you book.

PLEASE! Book your shore excursions as soon as you possibly can afford to do!

All the shoretrips for the VNV Gothic Cruise group at that site - are customed blocked! That means they are private for our group only.

This means they will start reviewing some of those trips early on.. and if no one is booking them, they will assume no one wants that trip.. and start deleting them out.

yes it is. just make sure the excursions you book have VNV at the begining of the name of the excursion.
